'Vada Chennai' is an upcoming Tamil film directed by Vetrimaaran. Dhanush and Samantha are playing in the lead. The film is produced by Wunderbar films - The home banner of actor Dhanush. This film includes Anirudh's Musical score.

 

IndiaGlitz had reported earlier that the shooting of director Vetrimaran's dream project 'Vada Chennai' starring Dhanush in the lead role will go on floors on June 15. Now we learn that the preparation works to start the shoot has already begun and going on in full swing.

It is reliably learn that a huge jail set has been erected in Chennai. The shooting will begin this month in this set and the some important scenes will be cranked here in the first schedule.

Dhanush has reportedly allotted bulk dates for the project and he is expected to take part in the first schedule. The film will have Samantha and Andrea in important female characters. Santhosh Narayanan will be scoring the music.

Dhanush has already completed 'Thodari' and 'Kodi' and these two films are expected to hit the screens in June and July. He is also shooting for director Gautham Menon's 'Yenai Nokki Paayum Thotta' and would start working on a film to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj. later this year.

Of late, there have been numerous reports about Samantha which said that the leading actress of south cinema is not signing any more films. These reports also said that Samantha has also returned the advance amounts to the makers of a couple of projects which she had already signed.

One such film is Vada Chennai, the Dhanush-starrer ambitious crime drama. According to the latest reports, Amala Paul may step into replace Samantha in this three part film. An official announcement about Amala Paul’s joining will be out soon.

Vada Chennai is jointly produced by Dhanush and the film’s director Vetrimaran.

VIJAY SETHUPATHI PART OF DHANUSH’S VADA CHENNAI!

Director Vetri Maaran’s dream project Vada Chennai’ shoot flagged off a few days ago at the Binny Mills in Chennai. Dhanush plays the lead, while Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji and Karunas feature in supporting roles. There is a speculation about Amala Paul playing the female lead, but nothing is official.

It was also rumored that Vijay Sethupathi might play an important role in this trilogy. Clearing all those rumors, Dhanush has officially confirmed it through his Twitter account by tweeting “Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a very important extended cameo in vada chennai. Very happy ”

Vijay Sethupathi acted in a very small role in Dhanush’s Pudhupettai, and then starred in his production Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Now, he is going to act along with Dhanush. It would be a happy news for everyone to witness Vijay Sethupathi and Dhanush in the same frame.
