After being in talks for more than 2 months, it has now been officially confirmed that Vijay Sethupathy would be playing an extended cameo in Dhanush’s gangster epic Vada Chennai, which is being directed by Vetrimaaran.

According to sources, Vijay Sethupathy would be playing an important character which would be seen majorly in the first part of the trilogy. The actor would join the sets once he completes the first schedule of his new film with KV Anand.

Samuthirakani and Daniel Balaji have already started shooting for the film in Chennai along with Dhanush, while Amala Paul and Andrea have been approached to play the female lead.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi will be playing an important role in Dhanush - Vetrimaran's Vada Chennai. Actor Dhanush had recently took to twitter to confirm Vijay Sethupathi's presence in the film. The actor had said that Vijay Sethupathi will be doing an extended cameo in the film.

Actress Andrea who will reportedly be playing the role of a call girl in Vada Chennai, will be starting to shoot for her role in September.

Andrea is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathy in the film. The latter too, will be joining the sets to shoot for his scenes, as he plays an extended cameo in the film.

Produced by Dhanush himself under his home banner Wunderbar Films, Vada Chennai has Daniel Balaje, Samuthirakani and Kishore in special roles. The female lead has still not been finalized for the film, but Amala Paul is said to be in talks to bag the role.

Dhanush has revealed in a recent media interaction that Vada Chennai will only be releasing in 2017. The actor says 40% of the shoot has been completed in a prison set and the rest of the portions will be canned only next year as he is busy with his directorial film, Power Paandi.

Vada Chennai is a gangster trilogy, which also has Kishore, Amala Paul, Daniel Balaji and Samuthirakani in important roles.

Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music for Vada Chennai while Dhanush's Wunderbar Films is producing the film. Sources also say that Andrea will be seen playing a call girl in the film but nothing has been confirmed yet!
