Kabali Does Pre-Release Business Of 200 Crore

Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali is now the most awaited movie in Kollywood, with the buzz for it increasing day by day. The film is posted for release on the 1st of July worldwide, in a record number of screens.

According to sources close to producer Dhanu, the film has done about 200 crore of pre-release business already, making it an eye-turner in the trade. Rockline Venkatesh who bankrolled Lingaa has bagged the Karnataka rights of the film for a whopping price, and talks are on to finish the deal with a China based company for a release there as well.

Kabali will also have a dubbed release in Malaysia, where the film was shot for most parts. Producer Dhanu is already heard saying that the film would break all of Rajinikanth's previous records.

 

As per industry sources, audio launch of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali will be happening in Nehru Indoor Stadium where many grand events including audio launches of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam and Shankar’s magnum opus starring Vikram had happened.

Reports say that Thanu have plans to launch the audio on June 9th and he will be soon making official announcements. For the first time, Santhosh Narayanan has composed music for Rajinikanth in Kabali and he is said to be pretty excited with the output.

Ranjith of Madras fame has directed Kabali, which also has Radhika Apte and Dhanshikaa in pivotal roles.

 

In view of the much anticipated audio launch of Kabali scheduled to happen on June 9th, the makers of Remo have postponed the release of first look poster to a later date. Sivakarthikeyan is believed to have requested the production team to postpone it to relish the audio launch celebrations since he himself is a self-confessed Rajinikanth fan.

He's currently on the brink of completing the shooting of comedy entertainer Remo, which is being directed by debutant Bakkiyaraj Kannan and produced by RD Raja's 24 AM Studios. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Sivakarthikeyan will soon start shooting for director Mohan Raja's untitled film in July where he is paired opposite Nayanthara for the first time and pitted against Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil. This is yet to be named film is also produced by 24 AM Studios.

 

Hurrah...!!! the release date of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' is fast approaching. It is almost certain that the mega budget gangster flick will be making a big bang entry in a never before number of screens across the world on July 1.

Now we learn that the film is getting ready for the Censor rating process. Reliable sources close to the team reveal that the film's producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu has watched the final copy of the film along with the technical crew led by the director Pa. Ranjith. Which means the film is ready to be sent for the viewing of the Censor board any time soon.

Meanwhile the audio launch of the film is expected to take place within June 10. Reports suggest that June 9 is the most likely audio release date but we will have to wait for the official confirmation. Musical score for 'Kabali' has been rendered by Santhosh Narayanan.

'Kabali' stars Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte in lead roles. The star cast includes Sai Dhanshika. Dinesh. Kalaiyarasan, John Vijay, Kishore and many others.

The theatrical rights of Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali are red hot in the trade, with a popular trade analyst claiming that the movie's Tamil, Hindi & Telugu versions have combinedly raked in Rs 200 crore even before the release. According to reports, a popular Hong Kong based company has bagged Kabali's Chinese dubbing rights for a whopping amount. Kabali's AP/Nizamrights have been bought by Praveen & Co for a record Rs. 32 cr, including Kabali Telugu Version Satellite rights.



Meanwhile, Kabali's post production is nearing completion and the movie is gearing up for censor. Though distributors are confident that movie will release on July 1, Kalaipuli S Thanu has revealed that release date will be confirmed only after the censor process is done.

 

Rajnikanth’s Kabali has become even more massive after the release of its teaser. Some time back, we had reported that the audio of the film will be released on the 9th of June. But latest updates from Chennai reveal that the audio might be postponed to a further date.

Though the reasons are yet unknown, reports suggest that some last minute formalities regarding the venue have created some problems. Directed by Ranjith Pa, Kabali has Radhika Apte as the female lead.

The film is up for a massive release on the 1st of July.
