The hype and craze surrounding Super Star Rajinikanth’s much anticipated gangster drama, Kabali, has touched the sky and the film is being promoted and even exploited by many in the right way.

Even the Pondicherry government is no exception in utilising Kabali’s craze for the Union Territory’s development. In an unexpected move the Pondicherry government announced free Kabali FDFS tickets to the residents of a Panchayat named Sellipet if they built toilets in their house.

Recently, the Pondicherry government conducted a survey and learnt that 447 out of 772 homes did not have toilets and that was when the authorities came up with this unique offer.

 

The promotions of Kabali have been going on in full swing off late and they took a whole new turn as Air Asia airlines painted an entire plane with the poster and pictures of Rajni and Kabali.

These promotions have created a sensation and got the attention of even the international media. This is the first time that something like big has been planned for any Indian film till date.

The film which is ready for release soon is being promoted on a huge scale and the trade pundits reveal that the film is going to take some humongous opening on the first day of its release.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, this film has Rajni playing an ageing don.

 

Although trade pundits around the world confirmed that Kabali would be releasing worldwide on the22nd of July, a section of Rajinikanth's fans were shockedon Sundaywhen Malaysian posters of the film announced the film's release only for the 29th.

However, it was later clarified that the dubbed Malay version of Kabali would be releasingone week laterthan the Tamil version, ie on the29th of July.

The final teaser of the film, which is directed by Pa. Ranjith is expected to unveiled closer to the release. In the movie, Rajinikanth plays a don who fights for Tamils in Malaysia.
