    Richie

    The making , background score and cinematography (way too many night scenes with flashy red lights) might give a impression of a dark brooding thriller but in real Richie is a largely boring film that does not have any meat to keep you engaged. At the end of the film one can't stop but wonder why the film had to be remade in the first place and very frankly the crux of the story didn't demand a rashomon treatment.
    The weakest link in Richie along with a incoherent screenplay is Nivin Pauly himself !!
    He looks the part of a gangster but his tamil dubbing and dialogue delivery failed miserably.
    On a positive note i really liked the pulikali sequences which have been captured quite well.
    Overall Richie is a failed attempt and will have to watch the kannada original to see if it had any merit.
