‘King’ Akkineni Nagarjuna and director K. Raghavendra Rao have made some memorable devotional films in the past like ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Sri Rama Das’. They are teaming up once more for a devotional film based on the life of the little known ‘Hathi Ram Baba’. The movie is going to have music from Keeravani and Raghavendra Rao is reportedly on the verge of wrapping up the script work for the movie. Once Nagarjuna gives his approval to this finished version of the script, the film is expected to go on to the floors in the second half of this year. The movie will revolve around Lord Venkateswara Swamy.
It is well known that yesteryear superstar Krishna is making his comeback to silver screen with a powerful revenge drama titled Sri Sri. The film also stars Krishna’s wife and yesteryear heroine Vijaya Nirmala and it also features Krishna’s son and Superstar Mahesh Babu’s voice-over. Sri Sri is gearing up for its release on the 3rd of June, and fans will be hoping big to see Krishna back in his elements. The film, an official remake of a Marathi hit, has been directed by Muppalaneni Siva, who is known for his super hit remakes. Sri Sri also has special cameos by Krishna’s son-in-law Sudheer Babu and senior actor Naresh.
We had earlier reported that actor Sudheer Babu will be essaying the central character in a biopic based on the life of Indian badminton champion Pullela Gopichand. The film will be directed by national award winning filmmaker Praveen Sattaru. According to a latest update, the script work for the film is currently underway and Gopichand himself is overseeing the scripting process along with Sudheer Babu. If everything goes as planned, the film will be made as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual and there’s also a possibility for an English version. The movie may commence in a couple of months.

The sequel of the film is currently under way and the makers have now roped in the beautiful Sanjana Garlani for an important role. Unlike her glamorous avatars, Snajana will go de-glam and has also put on five kgs for her role. According to the reports, 70 per cent of the film has already completed and the makers are planning to release the movie this year in Kannada and Telugu simultaneously.
Actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and director Puri Jagan’s new movie will go on to the floors from the 26th of this month. The film’s shoot will kickstart in Hyderabad and Kalyan Ram will be seen with former Miss India Aditi Arya in this movie. The movie has not been titled yet but sources say that it will be a mass action film with a message. Puri Jagan has promised to showcase Kalyan Ram in a new way and the actor has also worked on his hairstyle and body for this movie.
