Sundeep Kishan’s Okka Ammayi Tappa is in much news for its unique concept. The film has completed its censor formalities with a clean ‘U’ certificate and latest update reveals that the striking chemistry between Sundeep Kishan and Nithya Menen will be the highlight of the film. Set amidst the hitech city flyover, the film is a romantic thriller and is directed by Rajasimha. The music of the film is composed by Mickey J Meyer and has clicked quite well with the audience. This is the first time that Sundeep Kishan has shared screen space opposite Nithya Menen and this pairing itself has created a lot of curiosity. Okka Ammayi Tappa is up for release this 10th of June.
Anushka Shetty's magnum opus Rudhramadevi may not have yielded the kind of results its makers may have anticipated, but it definitely was regarded as one of the most ambitious films of last year after Baahubali. Despite not raking in the moolah at the box-office, its director Gunasekhar has started working on its sequel. We've learnt from trusted sources that Gunasekhar has already started working on the sequel and it's titled Prathaparudrudu. While the pre-production work has already started, its lead cast is yet to be finalized and that's going to be one helluva task. There were rumours that Allu Arjun and Rana will reunite for the sequel but it's too early to speculate.
Despite his modestly successful last outing in 2015, Pandaga Chesko, director Gopichand Malineni is yet to commence his next film. Even though his next project with Sai Dharam Tej was launched sometime so ago, there has been no news about when the film would go to sets. This led to several rumours in media circles since yesterday which say that Sai Dharam Tej has walked out of Gopichand’s film as he was not happy with the script and that the project was getting delayed. Quickly responding to these rumours, Gopichand stated on his Twitter profile, “Don’t trust any false news abt my film..script is in final stage …it’s a pakka commercial entertainer”. Well, this should put an end to all the rumours surrounding the film.
Rana Daggubati is one Telugu star who is hugely successful in two other major film industries in India, Bollywood and Tamil. The actor currently has a few interesting multilingual projects on floors. Now, ongoing reports suggest that Rana is eyeing a Punjabi remake. Apparently, Rana has purchased the remake rights of a Punjabi film, Sardar Ji 2, featuring leading Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh. Interestingly, Sardar Ji 2 is yet to be released and is slated for its release on June 24. In the film, the lead hero plays dual roles. Young Malayali actor Sreejith Vijay is essaying the role of Puttaparthi Sai Baba in veteran director Kodi Ramakrishna’s devotional biopic based on the life of the popular godman. The shooting of the film is progressing at a brisk pace and the film will be ready for its release by the end of this year. Puttaparthi Sai Baba is Kodi Ramakrishna’s 138th directorial venture. The film will reportedly showcase the life and times of Puttaparthi Sai Baba from the time he was a 10-day boy till his demise. The film will also feature members from Sai Baba’s Puttaparthi Ashram.
