Anchor turned actress, Rashmi stormed the headlines with her bold act in the recently released Guntur Talkies. Once again, she is set to enthral everyone with a sensuous thriller titled Antham. The teaser of the film which was released today showcased Rashmi in a hot avatar once again. Reports suggest that other than Rashmi’s glamour, the film will showcase her acting skills and bring Rashmi a good name for her performance during the second half. Directed by GSSP Kalyan, the film’s the first look posters have created a good buzz for the film which is is up for release soon.
It is a known fact that Prakash Raj, who showed his directorial skills with sensible movies like Dhoni and Ulavacharu Biryani was giving finishing touches to his latest project Mana Oori Ramayanam. Latest update reveals that the post production of the film is nearing its completion and the makers are eyeing for a release in the next two months. Prakash Raj is himself producing this village drama and maestro Ilayaraja has composed the tunes. Mana Oori Ramayanam is a bilingual and will release simultaneously in both Telugu and Kannada.

But latest update reveals that the film will go on floors some time in July as the script work of the film is till pending. This film is touted to be a complete masala entertainer in Ravi Teja style will have Raashi Khanna as the female lead. National award winning actor Dhanush is well known to Telugu audiences through several of his popular dubbed films like Raghuvaran B.Tech, Maryan, Pandem Kollu and Nava Manmadhudu etc. Even though a string of Dhanush’s Tamil films released in Telugu over the past few years, none of them made a huge mark except Raghuvaran B.Tech. Now, yet another Dhanush’s Tamil film, Uthamaputhiran, is gearing up for its release in Telugu. The Telugu version has been titled Naradudu and it stars Genelia. Interestingly, Uthamaputhiran, made in 2010, is an official remake of Ram-Sreenu Vaitla’s super hit comedy film Ready. The Tamil version was directed by Jawahar and Saidapuram Uma is releasing it in Telugu soon in June.
Good times seem to have returned for ace producer Dil Raju. After scoring a good hit with ‘Supreme’ this summer, he is now minting money with Nithiin and Samantha’s ‘A..Aa’. The film is doing very good business in the Nizam area even in this week and shows are almost full for the weekend. Dil Raju has already recovered his investment and he is set to make a very handsome profit from this venture. The producer was so happy with this project and with Trivikram that he has already announced a movie with the star director even without finalising the script. Dil Raju is going to produce this movie with a big star hero and rumours suggest that it could either be NTR or Charan.
Young Hero Sharwanand’s 25th film is currently under production. The movie’s first schedule has been wrapped up and the second schedule will begin from the 13th of this month, in and around Hyderabad. Sharwanad will be sporting a new look in this movie. Chandramohan is making his debut as a director with this movie and BVSN Prasad is the producer. The film is a romantic entertainer and the director is a protege of Karunakaran. Radhan will be composing the music for this movie. The film’s title has not been locked yet.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s new movie in Puri Jagan’s direction is being shot at a good pace. The movie is being directed by Puri Jagan, who is known for his fast pace of shooting. After a three day stint in Ramoji Film City, the movie unit will now be shifting to Nanakramguda. A special set has been erected for this purpose at the location. Former Miss India Aditi Arya is the heroine in this movie and Jagapathi Babu is playing a crucial role. Anoop Rubens will be composing the music for this mass entertainer with a social message. There have been a number of rumours about Akhil Akkineni’s second project. For a while, it was reported that Vamshi Paidipally would be handling the film but it is now clear that Vamshi has moved on to Mahesh Babu’s project. The two names that are now being heard are Koratala Shiva and Hanu Raghavapudi. Out of these directors, Hanu Raghavapudi’s name has been coming out rather strongly over the past couple of days and Akhil is expected to have a final sitting with this director sometime next week. Once Akhil gives the go ahead, the movie will be formally announced.
