Senior star Venkatesh will soon be seen in the most awaited comedy entertainer, Babu Bangaram. Apart from this film, Venky will also enthrall his fans with a hilarious cameo in his nephew Naga Chaitanya’s Premam. Now, if the latest reports are anything to go by, Venky may once again be seen in a crucial role in young hero Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’ next film under Boyapati Sreenu’s direction. Boyapati is reportedly scripting a powerful role for Venky and he is confident of convincing the star to act in the film. Venky has always been supportive of Sai Sreenivas as he shares a good rapport with Sai’s father and producer Bellamkonda Suresh. We will have to see if Venky will give his nod for Boyapati’s special offer eventually.
Koratala Shiva is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Janatha Garage’, which has Young Tiger NTR in the lead role. The movie is nearing completion and it will hit the screens in August. After this film, Koratala is supposed to make a movie for producer Danayya. Now, Danayya’s agreement is with Koratala and no hero has been finalised for the same. As a result, there is a lot of competition for Koratala Shiva’s dates from the top heroes in the Industry. Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Akhil Akkineni are said to be eyeing this successful director’s project. So far, neither Koratala Shiva nor Danayya have spoken about this. A decision may be communicated after the release of ‘Janatha Garage’.
Released on April 29, Marathi film Sairat, which was made with a modest budget of 4 crores, became a huge blockbuster by grossing nearly 85 crores. This intense romantic drama, directed by Nagraj Manjule, made its starts Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar overnight stars in Marathi film industry. Now, Sairat is all set to be remade in all the four major south Indian languages. Popular Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh, who made Rajini’s Lingaa and Ravi Teja’s Power, grabbed the film’s remake rights for all the four versions. He will produce these remakes along with the Marathi producers. Nagraj Manjule will himself direct the Telugu version. Casting process has kick-started already and all the four films will go to the sets in August.

Among the top five are SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali The Beginning, Mahesh’s Srimanthudu, Atharintiki Dharedi, Magadheera and Sarrainodu. With two out of five highest grossing films in his kitty, numero uno director Rajamouli can safely be termed the undisputed czar of Tollywood box-office. While Jakkanna first turned everyone’s attention with his epic socio-fantasy saga, Magadheera (73 crores), he later conquered the Indian box-office with his magnum opus, Baahubali The Beginning (300+ crores). The master perfectionist is currently busy with Baahubali The Conclusion, an epic sequel to Baahubali The Beginning.
We have recently reported that Gopichand is working on his next film, Oxygen and the film has entered it’s third and final schedule recently. At the latest press meet, Gopichand revealed that he is keen on making a strong comeback and added that Oxygen has provided him the perfect platform to make a perfect comeback. He also said that Oxygen is an out and out entertainer and he is quite excited about the final result. The film, which also stars Raashi Khanna, is being directed by Jyothi Krishna. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the tunes.
Sundeep Kishan’s Oka Ammayi Thappa hit the screens yesterday amidst decent expectations. Unfortunately, the film’s feedback fell a little short then what the makers expected as the film ended up receiving mostly average reviews. Sundeep Kishan tweeted on his official page saying, “Despite 1st day negative reviews the strong mouth talk taking the audience to the theatres full crowds. Getting additional multiplex shows all over Nizam thanks to good word of mouth thanks to the audience .” The film has apparently cashed in 1.3 crores at the box-office from both the Telugu states. Rajasimha directs this film which has music by Mickey Just Meyer.
It is well known that Sai Dharam Tej and Raashi Khanna’s Supreme has turned out to be a huge success at the box-office and has ended up grossing a little over 20 crores. At a recent press meet, among other things, Sai Dharam Tej was all praises about his co-star, Raashi Khanna. He said that Raashi Khanna is one actress whom he can always rely on moral support and he added that he is looking forward to collobrating with her again in the future. Meanwhile, Sai Dharam Tej is busy with his next flick Thikka while Raashi Khanna has moved onto Gopichand’s Oxygen.
It is well known that director-producer Maruthi is bankrolling a flick titled Rojulu Marayi, with Dil Raju having a small contribution in the project as well. The film stars Drishyam fame Kruthika Jayakumar. According to the latest sources, the audio of the film will be released on June 18th. The film has been progressing at a brisk pace and apparently, Kruthika plays the role of a girl who gets into complex situations. Tejaswi also plays yet another crucial role in the film. Muralikrishna, former assistant to Chandrasekhar Yeleti, is welding the megaphone.
We had earlier reported that young actress Avika Gor made a huge splash at the prestigious Cannes film festival which concluded recently. Avika, along with the cast and crew of her short film Almost, unveiled the film’s first look poster and trailer at Cannes. Icing on the cake is that the short film has been bought by noted French Producer Sonia Zhang, who was highly impressed with the film and the actors. Apparently, Zhang is also planning to make a Bollywood film featuring Avika and her Almost co-star Manish Raishinghani. Needless to say, Avika is thrilled with her first major international success.
