M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story (Hindi) had a big fall in the second weekend with collections dropping 76% and this was despite being tax free in UP and Maharashtra from the second week onwards The film has still not reached the 100 crore nett mark for the Hindi version despite that huge first weekend.Its Hindi version stands at 99 crore while the dubbed formats are at 5.50 crore nett. There are two holidays on Tuesday and Wednesday which will will boost the collections but the fact is that the film has not really much found appreciation and will scrape through to HIT status but it is mainly due to the Mahendra Singh Dhoni factor rather than the film itself. The collections of M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story till date are as follows

Day Eight - 3,50,00,000

Day Nine - 5,25,00,000

Day Ten - 5,75,00,000

Second Weekend - 14,50,00,000



TOTAL - 99,00,00,000



Overseas was worse than India as it crashed badly adding just about $1 million after its first weekend of $3.25 million. Despite a $3.25 million weekend the film is unlikely to hit the $5 million mark.

Dhoni - The Untold Story (Hindi) grossed in the 1-1.25 crore nett range on its third Friday taking its total to 109.50 crore nett which now makes it the fourth highest nett grosser of the year as it goes ahead of the Housefull 3 nett collections. The trend in the third week is better than the second week though there is no support of holidays like in the second week. It is pre Diwali period period but all the films around it are doing very poor which is allowing M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story to benefit. Tax exemption in UP and Maharashtra is also a big benefit. The collections of M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story till date are as follows

The other releases of the week fared poorly including the Hollywood release Inferno. The best film of the Hindi films was Saat Uchakkey with a similar response to last weeks Tutak Tutak Tutiyan.

 

M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story (Hindi) is looking at a third weekend of around the 6 crore nett mark which would make it third best of 2016. Its a dull phase at the box office but because of practically no competition this film is getting benefit as its the only decent film being screened. The tax exemptions are also benefiiting the film as Maharashtra is holding much better than it normally would and UP is doing far more business than Delhi city and its was a lesser gap in the first week. The film can also lead the box ofice next week as far as Hindi films are concerned which may help it to a 120 crore nett plus total. The collections of M.S. M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story (Hindi) is heading for a 8 crore nett apprx total for its third week which will be the fourth highest third week collection of the year. The tax exemptions and weak competition is giving the film a better run that what would have been expected after the falls in the weekdays of the first week. The way the film is going it is going to be the second highest grosser of 2016 in all circuits barring the big three of Mumbai, Delhi /UP and East Punjab. In Mumbai circuit Gujarat has let it down while in the North it is Delhi city and East Punjab which have under performed due to a weak hero. UP in North has done better after the tax exemptions. Mysore will go over 10 crore nett which is a huge number for that circuit. The collections of M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story till date are as follows
