Rustom did well in its second week grossing over 25 crore nett and taking its two week total to over 114.50 crore. The film had a drop of around 71% which is the normal drop in the second week The business of Rustom till date is as follows.

The second week collections are the third highest of the year after Sultan and Airlift. The latter was tax free in UP in the second week. The second week collections are higher than Housefull 3 which was in the 22.50 crore nett range. The distributor share of the film is 58 crore in two weeks and it should cross Airlift in a few days and the GROSS business will also cross Airlift soon. The NETT business of Airlift was 123.50 crore nett and that should also be beaten but it may have to wait till week four for that to happen.



Akshay Kumar has only one film which has topped 125 crore nett and that is Rowdy Rathore and Airlift could be the second one. The biggest career hits of Akhshay Kumar are Mohra (199 cr adjusted nett) and Rowdy Rathore (186 crore adjusted nett).

 

Rustom continued to do well at the start of its third week with business of 1.25 crore nett. the drop is around 70% from last week so its trending as it was in the second week. The business of Rustom till date is as follows.

The film will be probably become the second biggest film of 2016 in terms of GROSS collections by the end of the weekend. The GROSS collections of Rustom till date are 161.40 crore wile Airlift finished with 166.03 crore. It should be able to cover the gap on Saturday and Sunday. Rustom will also probably become the second highest grossing film of 2016 in terms of nett collections also but for that it will probably have wait till week four.



The film will beat Airlift in Mumbai, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha. The rest of the circuits will remain a little lower while Delhi / UP is 15-20% lower but that is in terms of NETT collections due to tax exemption of Airlift in UP.

 

Rustom has grossed 120 crore nett after its third weekend as it added around 5.75 crore nett in its third weekend. The trend of the film is better than last week with a drop of around 66%. The GROSS collections of the film stand at 167.4 crore which takes it the second highest grosser of the year after Sultan. airlift which was the best before Rustom grossed 166.03 crore. The GROSS figure is the amount collected at the ticket window while the NETT figure is GROSS minus entertainment tax. Airlift was tax free in Delhi /UP from week two which meant it collected less entertainment tax giving it a higher NETT ratio. The Nett collection of Rustom will go ahead of Airlift in the fourth week. The film is looking at a 125 crore nett finish which would make it the 22nd highest Nett grosser of all time. Akshay Kumar’s Rustom has emerged a big hit at the domestic and overseas box office. The film has now crossed 200 crore in worldwide.

In India, the film is expected to become Akshay Kumar’s second highest grosser only behind Rowdy Rathore. However, in overseas, it has beaten Rowdy Rathore by a good margin.

It has now become the third highest worldwide grosser for Akshay Kumar. When Rustom will finish its lifetime run, it will take the top spot.

Rustom grossed 8 crore nett apprx in its third week to take its business to a little under 123 crore nett. The drop week on week is 67% which is better than last week. Rustom will become the second highest grosser of the year in terms of NETT collections by the end of the fourth weekend. The film already has the second highest distributor share and GROSS collections. The share has crossed 60 crore and this is only the second time an Akshay Kumar film has topped the 60 crore distributor share mark. The first was Rowdy Rathore. The business of Rustom till date is as follows.
