Even as he is busy with the postproduction of ‘Spyder’, there is talk that director A R Murugadoss recently met Prabhas. Murugadoss has already made it clear that his next film will be a Tamil language movie with superstar Vijay as lead hero. But buzz in the cine circles is that he wants to do a massive multi-language action drama with Prabhas next year or early 2019. Prabhas is reportedly evinced interest in working with the director too. It is not yet known weather Prabhas has officially said okay to Murugadoss, but insiders say they might team up. Prabhas, who acquired craze at national level post ‘Baahubali 2’, is selecting films that have universal appeal. His current film ‘Saaho’, being directed by upcoming filmmaker Sujith, is also being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. After the release of ‘Saaho’, he will be commencing another movie with relatively new directed called Radhakrishna. Prabhas is not meeting any Telugu top directors now for the possible team up.
After the worldwide success of 'Baahubali', Prabhas has become a national star so movie lovers may think he can do anything now. Well, as the famous line goes by, 'with great power comes great responsibility', the predicaments have just commenced for him. Living up to the image brought in by Baahubali is not easy, and hence Prabhas is in dire need of pan-India directors. In order to bring pan-India appeal, makers of Saaho are running from pillar to post. They had to splurge hefty sum to sign Shraddha Kapoor to play female lead as no top league Bollywood actress generally shows interest in acting in South films. A brigade of Bollywood actors has also been roped in. Both Prabhas and the producers haven't had to take this much stress had they have a pan-India director on board. So, Prabhas has reportedly decided to work with directors who have nation-wide market. How many such directors are there put together in Bollywood and South? Rumors are rife that Prabhas has held discussions with AR Murugadoss and they will collaborate in future. A project with director Shankar may also materialize. However, considering their prior commitments, it would take a few more years for Prabhas to work with these pan-India directors. For both Saaho, and his immediate next project, a love story in Radha Krishna's direction, Prabhas will have to carry the film on his shoulders only.
