Vikram to go for a Salt and Pepper look in Saamy 2?

Few days back at the Iru Mugan audio launch, director hari had announced that he will be working with Vikram for Saamy 2, retaining the same technical crew - Harris Jayaraj and Priyan for music and cinematography respectively. Now the latest buzz is that Vikram might be playing an aged cop role in the film with a Salt and pepper look. The shoot for the movie will begin in Febraury after Vikram completes shooting for Dhruvan

 

Versatile star Vikram and mass action entertainers’ specialist Hari joined forces for the first time in 2003 for the blockbuster cop story, Saamy. The duo is reuniting after 13 long years for Saamy’s sequel.

Tentatively titled Saamy 2, the sequel will go on floors in September and the pre-production work is going on in full swing. In his latest interview, Hari said that the sequel will be much grander in terms of its scale and even confirmed that it will feature two leading heroines.

Tamil media circles have been abuzz with the reports that Trisha, who was seen in Saamy, will be repeated in the sequel, while Nayanthara is in talks for the other female lead’s role.

 

Versatile actor, Vikram, who scored a decent success with Inkokkadu is currently busy working for a movie under Thiru’s direction.



Meanwhile, he is committed to a movie with director Hari, who is known for his masala entertainers. This much-talked about combo is joining hands for Saami sequel which was a huge blockbuster a decade back.

An official launch of this movie will happen in December. Kalaipuli Thanu produces this movie both in Telugu and Tamil. More details regarding this movie are awaited.

 

Producer Shibu Thameens who is fresh from the success of Vikram’s Iru Mugan will be bankrolling a Malayalam film to be directed by Vinu Joseph featuring Biju Menon as the hero. The film is yet to be titled.



Shibu says, “When I heard the narration, I was very impressed. The script could not be missed at all. It will be a rollicking comedy and you will be laughing continuously. On the Tamil front, pre-production work for Saamy 2 is going on in full swing”.



That would be an interesting update for Chiyaan fans!

 

Some time back, we had revealed that Tamil star Vikram will start working on the sequel of his yesteryear mass action entertainer, Saamy. The latest news reveals that Trisha has been brought on board now.



Though the news reports came in that a star heroine will be roped in for the film, Trisha’s inclusion clearly reveals that the story would surely continue from where it left off.

Off late, Trisha has been signing some top movies in Tamil and is giving some top notch performances to stay in the game. Saamy 2 will be directed by Hari.
