Actor Suriya’s name has been dragged into a road rage case after stepping out of his car to help a lady in Chennai. The incident happened in Adayar, which is close to Suriya’s home. A Chennai football player and his friend were involved in an accident with a lady driver. According to the reports being heard, the accident led to some heated words and the two men reportedly manhandled the woman physically. Suriya, who was passing by, stopped and intervened in the matter. He even left his manager on the spot to sort out the matter. But the football player and his friend filed a police report in J5 Sastry Nagar Police Station, alleging that Suriya physically abused them. Suriya’s team has denied this charge and has taken the help of the lady who was attacked by the two men, to refute these allegations. The matter is currently being investigated by the police.
Yesterday, Tamil superstar Suriya landed himself in trouble after he tried to help out a women, who was allegedly being manhandled by a couple of youngsters. Suriya, who was passing by, helped the women and slapped one of the youngsters for misbehabing. The one who was slapped, Premkumar, apparently filed a case with the police. Latest update reveals that the young boy withdrew his complaint as the problem was solved after a small meeting. Suriya took to twitter and thanked lady who was harassed by young guys.

With this new found energy, Suriya is currently shooting for an out and out mass action entertainer, S3, the third part in the Singam franchise. Meanwhile, there have been several interesting reports about Suriya’s next film. Touted to be a Tamil, Telugu and Hindi trilingual period film under the direction of actor-filmmaker Sundar C, this film is reportedly being planned to be made with an insanely high budget of nearly 250 crores. Apparently, Sundar C has already roped in RC Kamalkannan of Magadheera and Eega fame to supervise the vfx and Sabu Cyril has been signed on to oversee the production design, while 24 and Janatha Garage’s cinematographer Thirru has been approached to crank the camera. Either Ilayaraja or AR Rahman will score for the movie and a leading Bollywood heroine has been in talks to play the female lead. Popular Tamil film production house Sri Thenedal Films will reportedly bankroll this film, which will be their 100th project. Keep watching this space to know more about this project.
recent buzz had suggested that Suriya, who was last seen in the sci-fi time traveling thriller24, might be roped into director Sundar's upcoming historical movie, which is tipped to be on the lines of Telugu film Magadheera. Now, a source close to the project has confirmed that the Aadhavan actor is indeed in talks with the production house, and if everything goes well, he might be roped in to play the lead.
Rumors have been rife that Singam Suriya might play a cameo in Venkat Prabhu's upcoming sequel to the cricket-based successful venture, Chennai 600028. It is believed that Venkat, who had worked with Suriya in Masss last year, is said to have roped in the latter to play a brief role in Chennai 600028 II. When contacted, Prabhu denied the rumour with a laugh. Busy wrapping up the project which brings most of the cast from the first part, the film also stars actor Abhinay Vaddi, most popular for playing mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in his Tamil biopic. Produced by Venkat, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Latest update is that Suriya might star in the project which will feature a leading Bollywood heroine. Our sources reveal that the Singam star has given his nod; however, he's yet to officially sign the project. He's a little unsure about whether he can take out time for this project as he already has multiple commitments. The project will be high on VFX and well-known visual effects expert R.C Kamalakannan has already been roped in to lend technical support. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalized soon.
