Emotional, touching and Feel-good! I just loved every bit of the film.
@AnjaliMenonFilm's making and #LittleSwayamp's frames was magically brilliant Prithvi, Nazriya and Parvathy they were just amazing.. kudos
On the whole, #Koode is just magical.

   #Koode A feel good movie from #Anjalimenon. Little bit of lagging in the 2nd half making the movie down. But it's a decent watchable flick from the Big team. Little swayamp rocking with his eyes after parava. Really it's a visual treat for viewers

First thing first. Koode is no Bangalore Days. This was something that director Anjali Menon wanted to say loud and clear in her recent interactions with the media. Inspite of maintaining a very low profile and less hype for her latest flick, Malayalam audience were never ever going to peg their expectation level down for a movie to which the director has associated with.

The reason is pretty straightforward and simple. It's the name Anjali Menon itself. She is one writer/director who has a minimum guarentee and one who can be trusted and relied upon going by her track record. Manjadikkuru, Usthad Hotel and Bangalore Days (these are films to which she has associated with either as a writer or director) are classical cases underlying the fact that there is quality in her work.

Now coming to Koode (this is again a reunion of actors who have already associated with the director before), its a beautiful one with touching moments that stays with you for a good amount of time after leaving the cinema halls. A heartwarming tale of relationships, thats how the promotions have been worded and the movie stays to that billing thereby doing justice to what it said.

If I start to narrate about the synopsis, it will only help in revealing certain critical elements from the film that will only act as spoiler and thereby spoiling the mood of people who are yet to watch it. I would only say its the relationship between siblings Joshua and Jenny. A brother sister relationship is the primary focus but the screenplay has given ample space for the relationship between a father and son. Similarly there is also space created for a young man's relationship with his childhood friend.

The pacing is slow and that's what this plot demanded. Koode is blessed with so many moments that will touch you. Its an emotional rollercoaster ride as far as the totality of the plot is concerned. There is space for little fun and lighthearted moments along with the overall sentimental mood. That's how the whole screenplay is structured and credit should go to the director for executing this story as best as she can. In the process, she has done justice to her billing as a film maker who can be trusted.

Every character has its own individuality and the screenplay has given the required importance instead of shying away from developing certain roles and not giving due importance to pivotal characters which can hamper the overall feel. No place for melodrama and each and every dialogue appeared natural. Another bonus area for Koode is the performance factor which I am going to talk about next.

Every actor has given their best shot meeting the demands of their character. Prithviraj plays Joshua and I should say it was a controlled acting effort.The character going through tough and lot of emotional strains had to be presented certain way and he was right up there ensuring that Joshua ended up on screen like the way the director visualized it. Parvathi as Sofia and Joshua's love interest was perfect for that role. Renjith was handed the role of Aloshy (Father of Joshua and Jenny) and this was yet another case of excellent casting. Parvathy T as Lilly (Mother of the protagonists) also did well. Roshan Mathew, Siddharth Menon, Devan and a few others did their supporting acts neatly leaving no place for complaints.

Now to the show stealer who is making a comeback following her marriage. Nasriya basically steals the show from the rest and that was a surprise. Jenni was a cheerful, bubbly and fun loving character and the actress was natural in her depiction of the role assigned to her. There was also areas where she had to shed her bubbly nature in some emotional scenes sans any dialogues. With the right mix of expressions through her face and eyes, Nasriya was able to put the role of Jenni to a level which would have made Anjali the director happy.

Koode can't be complete without its rich visuals.Littil Swayamp the cameraman deserves full marks for his beautiful piece of work here. Music department is another area that gave the right makeover matching the storyline. All credits to M.Jayachandran and Raghu Dixit to have come out with excellent tunes and BGM. This is also a film where all the songs were perfectly placed in the film.

I am going back to where I started. Koode is no Bangalore days.The two films are poles apart as far story and presentation goes. So no place for comparisons. Koode is not an outright entertainer. Its not everyone's cup of tea and has a slow paced narration. A sentimental film giving high values for emotions and importance of relationships, the movie makes you shed tears and provide full satisfaction once the whole film is wrapped up. Blessed with excellent screenplay, right direction and backed by sincere work on the performance side, here is one movie that can stay in our heart and memory for a longer time.

കുറേ നാളിനു ശേഷം പ്രിത്വിയുടെ നാച്ചുറൽ ആക്ടിങ്. ജോഷ്വാ ആയി മറ്റൊരാളെ സങ്കൽപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തവിധം മനോഹരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
നസ്രിയ ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഈ പടത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സംവിധായിക ചിന്തിക്കുമെന്ന് പോലും കരുതുന്നില്ല. ജെനി മനസ്സിൽ നിന്ന് പോവാൻ ഒരുപാട് സമയം എടുക്കുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പ്.
ജോഷ്വയും ജെനിയും തിയേറ്റർ വിട്ടാലും "കൂടെ" ഉണ്ടാക്കും.
പാർവതി,രഞ്ജിത്ത്, റോഷൻ എല്ലാരും നല്ല പെർഫോമൻസ്.

അഞ്ജലി മേനോൻ- "കൂടെ" യുടെ ആത്മാവ് നിങ്ങളാണ്. അത്രമേൽ മനോഹരമാണ് കൂടെ.

കഥയും കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും തിയേറ്റർ വിട്ടിറങ്ങിയാലും നമ്മുടെ " കൂടെ" ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന കൊണ്ടാകും ... സിനിമയ്ക്കും അതേ ടെറ്റിൽ "കൂടെ"

Koode is gona be the unanimous choice for families,especially in Multi's. Nazriya's presence will make sure families come into the theatres.
But it has to overcome 'degaradataion' from both the sides. Parvathy's presence means Ikka bhakts will degrade this, and competition for Nerrali may lead to Ettan bhakts degrading this. ( Not all fans, just some crazy ones who do this stuff) Still, it may end up a blockbuster. Single screen performance will be interesting.
