We have reported a while back that Balakrishna’s 100th flick, Gautamiputra Satakarni, under the direction of Krish Jagarlamudi is progressing at a brisk pace. The film has recently finished its first schedule in Morocco.

In a recent chitchat with a leading newspaper, Balakrishna was all praises about the film. He revealed that he was surprised on how well the rough cut of the first schedule came out. He added that he was extremely satisfied with Krish’s grip over handling a film of high caliber.

Meanwhile, a large ship set is being erected on the outskirts of Hyderabad for the second schedule which will kick start tomorrow

 

If sources are anything to go by, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna will ring in his 55th birthday in the US. He plans to take off from the shoot of his 100th film, Gauthamiputra Satakarni, and plans to spend a week in the US where he plans to attend some charity events to raise funds for Basavatharakam Cancer Institute.

Upon his return, the makers of Gauthamiputra Satakarni will finalize the leading lady. While sources indicate that Shriya Saran might team up with Balakrishna, official announcement is yet to be made.

Tipped to be made on a lavish budget, the film will narrate the story of an unsung ruler from Satavahana dynasty. The film also features Kabir Bedi, Hema Malini, and will have music by Devi Sri Prasad.

 

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s birthday celebrations will be prodigiously organized in five Indian states Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on June 10th under the guidance of NBK helping hands organization president Anantapuram Jagan.

This birthday being 56th for Balakrishna, fans are holding various charity and welfare events in 56 areas of these five states. NBK helping hands team identified 56 locations and held personal meetings with Balakrishna fans in these areas paving for hurdle free arrangements.

Balakrishna will be celebrating this year’s birthday in USA. Amidst his absence, fans are euphoric on progress of Balakrishna’s century milestone film Gautamiputra Satakarni. This birthday is historically exceptional for fans and Balakrishna.

 

From the past few weeks there has been continuous search to find a heroine for Balakrishna’s 100th film. Several names were making the rounds but latest reports reveals that Shriya has been confirmed as the female lead.

After zeroing on many names, both Krish and Balakrishna felt that Shriya would perfectly suit the character of a princes in the film. Shriya has already acted opposite Balakrishna in the past and this is a superb opportunity for her to work under a genius director like Krish.

Currently, Balakrishna is touring the US and once he comes back, the second schedule will kick start in a specially laid set in Hyderabad. Watch out this space for more details on this project.

 

On the eve of Balakrishna’s birthday tomorrow, the makers of Gautamiputra Satakarni have decided to come out with the pre-look of the film this evening. This pre-look will be released on the social media and this news has excited Balayya fans big time.

Currently, the star hero is in the US for some charity work and will return to the city soon. Right from the day, this project has been announced there has been immense craze for Balayya’s role and the historical backdrop which the film will be set in.

Directed by Krishh, this film has Shriya as the female lead and is produced by Rajiv Reddy.

The much awaited projects of Tollywood, Chiranjeevi's 150 and Balakrishna's 100 are slated to hit screens during the Pongal race of 2017. Though Balakrishna has completed shooting for the first schedule of his prestigious 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarni, Chiranjeevi is yet to start his comeback movie.

On the ocassion of Balakrishna's 56th birthday, the makers of his 100th movie, released a pre-look poster, a day ahead.



It has been receiving thumping responses from the netizens, while the actor's fans are busy readying birthday flexes, with the poster. The pre-look poster promises that, director Krish will showcase Balayya in a completely new avatar and there will not be any compromise in the production values.

However, an obvious comparison with Chiranjeevi's film is being made by the fanboys and mega fans are disappointed that their idol's film is yet go on sets.





While Shriya Saran has been confirmed as the female lead inGautamiputra Satakarni, Chiranjeevi's Kathilantodu is yet to find its leading lady. Nevertheless, a special jail set in being erected for Chiru's film, which is a remake of Tamil film,Kaththi and it is learnt that the shoot will begin from the second week of June.

So, we just have to wait and see how fast the Megastar copes up with the delay and reach Balayya's speed. For now, the clash of Mega and Nandamuri, during the Sankranthi season, is very much on.

After weeks of speculation, it has finally been made official that Shriya Saran will be playing Balakrishna’s love interest in his 100th film “Gauthamiputra Satakarni”, in which he plays an unsung warrior from the Satavahana dynasty.

While the makers were initially in talks with Nayanthara who, despite being interested, couldn’t be part of the project due to her prior commitments. Although the makers have confirmed the news, they’re yet to reveal details regarding her character which might be kept under wraps for now.



According to a source, Shriya will meet National award-winning director Krish for a story sitting this weekend and she will also be signing on the dotted line to officially confirm her participation in the project. This will be the second time Shriya and Balakrishna will be teaming since “Chennakesava Reddy”, which released over a decade ago.

Having already shot in Georgia, where the team filmed one of the crucial action sequences in the film, the makers have been shooting in a specially erected set in Hyderabad since the end of last month. The film also stars Hema Malini and Kabir Bedi in important roles.
