Ratnavelu has a good reputation for being a top quality Director of Photography. He has worked for many high profile projects like ‘Robot’, ‘1 Nenokkadine’, ‘Arya’,’Lingaa’ etc. He is now going to work for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie and he is pretty excited about it.

“It is a privilege to work for the prestigious Chiru150th”, he tweeted. The movie was formally launched yesterday and Vinayak will be handling the direction. Ratnavelu has a good track record of showcasing the male leads in a very stylish way, so expect some stylish visuals of Chiranjeevi in his landmark film.

Ram Charan is producing this movie and Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music.

 

Chiranjeevi's daughter-in-law and Ram Charan's wife, Upasana Kamineni had offered special prayers at Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple in Annavaram, for the success of Chiranjeevi's comeback film.

She was at Vizag for the launch of Apollo Hospitals and on her way to the city, she stopped at Annavaram for the special prayers. Upasana was apparently accompanied by a lot of mega fans, to make sure she felt comfortable at the place.





It is know Chiranjeevi's comeback film, which is the remake of Kaththi was launched on 29 April and the regular shoot will begin from June. Ram Charan is turning the producer with this prestigious film and he has also unveiled the logo of his production house, Konidela Production Company, on the same day.

Apparently, Upasana was really happy about her husband's new job. "My husband wears a new hat as producer today #allthebest #chiru150 #ramcharan & to the whole family, read a post from her on Instagram.

Looks like, the mega DIL is actively taking part in her family's work, though she hails from a completely non-filmy background.

 

Star cinematographers like the great PC Sriram (Nayakudu, Geethanjali and Kushi fame) and Chota K Naidu are pretty famous. They have a large chunk of admirers among an audience pool who are not known to take note of visuals too keenly. The introduction of new technologies has changed the scenario. The audience are now in a position to appreciate visual richness like never before Even superstars make it a point to have the best in their kitty. Such is the importance that star cinematographers have come to command that, in audio launch functions and success meets, superstars speak in high praise of such cinematographers, thanking them for elevating their film.

In recent times, the likes of Amol Rathod (Raktha Charitra and Iddarammayilatho fame) have come to acquire prominence.

Reportedly, Chiranjeevi and VV Vinayak brainstormed at length whether to have Chota K Naidu or Rathnavelu to crank the camera for Katthilantodu. The offer finally came to the latter, known for technically superior films like Shankar's Enthiran (Robot), Bejoy Nambiar's David, and Sukumar's 1-Nenokkadine. Only yesterday, at the audio release function of Brahmotsavam, we saw how Rathnavelu was hailed by the critically acclaimed art director Thota Tharani for impeccably capturing the grandeur of his art.

Gnanashekar VS recently proved his mettle with Kanche, whose stunning visuals perked up the film. Natarajan Subramaniam has come in for praise from Trivikram Srinivas for helping him tell a beautiful story (the yet-to-be-released A Aa) with his camera in tandem.

At a time when the audience are getting more informed and in love with frames drenched in quality, looks like many cinematographers are going to be household names.

 

Regina Cassandra In Chiranjeevi 150?


Going by the grapevine, Regina Cassandra has grabbed the golden offer of working with Megastar Chiranjeevi, in his comeback film. Before your thoughts go haywire, let us put it clear.

She is said to be roped in to shake a leg with Chiru in a special song and the female lead of the film is yet to be finalized. It is also learnt that Nayantara and Anushka are being considered to pair with the actor.

"After sorting out the shooting schedules and the call sheets of the actresses, the female lead will be zeroed in", said a source from the unit.





Directed by V V Vinayak, Chiranjeevi's comeback film is the remake of Kaththi and Ram Charan will be producing the flick under his newly launched banner Konidela Production Company.

Chiranjeevi is currently busy shedding a few kilos, to look presentable on screen and as soon as he gets back into the shape, the film will go on sets. If goes everything well, it might roll from June.

As announced earlier by Chiranjeevi, the movie is tentatively titled as Kathilantoduand the script was altered to suit the Telugu nativity and the mass image of Chiranjeevi. Talking in a recent interview, Vinayak promised that the movie will have no political agendas and is strictly penned to be an entertainer.

 

Devi Sri Prasad is going to be the music director for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie. This movie will be directed by Vinayak and produced by Ram Charan on Konidela Productions banner.

Devi Sri Prasad has started working on the film’s music and is now participating in the music sessions. DSP is a big fan of Chiranjeevi, so expect a thumping album from him for Chiranjeevi’s landmark movie.

Regular shooting is expected to start soon and the movie is going to be released as a Sankranthi 2017 offering.
