Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most eagerly anticipated 150 film under VV Vinayak’s direction, tentatively titled Kathilantodu, has been the talk of the town over the last few months. After several months long dilly-dallying and script discussions, the film is finally gearing up to commence its regular shooting from June third week.

According to a latest update, legendary art director and production designer Thota Tharani has been roped in to design the sets for this prestigious flick. Thota Tharani is famous his national award winning work in Mani Ratnam’s Nayakudu and Shankar’s Bharateeyudu, apart from the impressive Madhura Meenakshi temple sets he had designed for Mahesh’s Arjun and the ancient backdrop sets for Kamal’s Dasavatharam etc.

Thota Tharani was honored by the Indian government with the country’s fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri in 2001.

Preparations for the big budget Star MAA event ,that is going to take place this Sunday, are already underway. Some of the biggest celebrities from T Town are going to attend the event and a lot of programs are being planned for the day. One of the programs will be performed by Megastar Chiranjeevi and some footage was shot for this today in Annapurna Studios.

This program of Chiranjeevi is expected to be a special highlight in the event. MAA has reportedly spent in excess of 5 Crores for this event and because it is the first event that is being organised after the takeover by Star Group, the management is taking this as a matter of prestige.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is also beginning preparations for the shooting of his 150th movie, which is expected to start soon.

 

A huge prison set is being constructed under the supervision of National Award winning art director Thota Tharani for Megastar Chiranjeevi's comeback film, which is tentatively titled Kathilantodu.

"Some of the initial portion of the film takes place in a prison. The team has been working on this set since the beginning of this month. Chiranjeevi will play one of the inmates who escapes from the prison," a source from the film's unit revealed.

 

The much awaited projects of Tollywood, Chiranjeevi's 150 and Balakrishna's 100 are slated to hit screens during the Pongal race of 2017. Though Balakrishna has completed shooting for the first schedule of his prestigious 100th film, Gautamiputra Satakarni, Chiranjeevi is yet to start his comeback movie.

On the ocassion of Balakrishna's 56th birthday, the makers of his 100th movie, released a pre-look poster, a day ahead.



It has been receiving thumping responses from the netizens, while the actor's fans are busy readying birthday flexes, with the poster. The pre-look poster promises that, director Krish will showcase Balayya in a completely new avatar and there will not be any compromise in the production values.

However, an obvious comparison with Chiranjeevi's film is being made by the fanboys and mega fans are disappointed that their idol's film is yet go on sets.





While Shriya Saran has been confirmed as the female lead in Gautamiputra Satakarni, Chiranjeevi's Kathilantodu is yet to find its leading lady. Nevertheless, a special jail set in being erected for Chiru's film, which is a remake of Tamil film, Kaththi and it is learnt that the shoot will begin from the second week of June.

So, we just have to wait and see how fast the Megastar copes up with the delay and reach Balayya's speed. For now, the clash of Mega and Nandamuri, during the Sankranthi season, is very much on.

 

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently in dance rehearsals mode. Chiranjeevi enjoys dancing and he is doing a special number for the Star MAA Awards, according to reliable reports. For these dance performances, Chiranjeevi is practicing well and he has also participated in a special photo shoot.

It is being said that Chiranjeevi’s look and costumes from some of his biggest blockbusters will be featured in this program. Apart from that, Chiranjeevi is also practicing for his upcoming 150th movie, which will be directed by V.V. Vinayak.

Fans are expecting a lot from Chiranjeevi in this film and the Megastar is working hard to satisfy their expectations.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film will start rolling from next month. The movie will take off with the shoot of Chiranjeevi’s jail scenes in Kolkata. The movie is an official remake of the Tamil blockbuster ‘Kathi’ and V.V.Vinayak is going to handle the direction.

Chiranjeevi will be seen in dual roles in this mass action entertainer and Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music. Ram Charan is producing the movie on Konidela Productions banner and the film will be a big budget affair.

Chiranjeevi’s comeback is being eagerly anticipated by fans and movie lovers. His performance at the CineMaa awards recently became the talk of the town.

 

Now that there is only one day left for the start of Chiranjeevi’s 150th, so many things are coming out one after the other. News now is that Chiru will be sporting different looks in the film.

Chiru will be seen in a salt and pepper look for some emotional and important scenes and will have a complete trendy style when it comes to the songs. Being a serious subject, Chiru will be going through a lot of emotional changes in his character and this requires many different looks which has been specially designed for him.

Directed by V V Vinayak, this film is produced by Ram Charan and the leading lady is yet to be finalized.
