It's known that Vikram Kumar had first narrated the script of 24 to Mahesh Babu. In the event, the script went to Suriya, one of the biggest stars of Kollywood. Vikram apparently hoped to make it with Mahesh, the reigning star of Tollywood, mainly because the director views the Telugu film industry as his "bread and butter".

Be that as it may, what is the reason that the superstar didn't agree to do the film? Didn't he like Vikram's story? Or had it anything to do with his aversion to play a baddie's role (read Athreya)? Looks like the reason is the latter. "Vikram Kumar had narrated the story to me. I liked the idea a lot. But I said no because I couldn't imagine myself on the screen doing the roles," Mahesh has said, opening up about the film for the first time.

Has the Brahmotsavam star watched the film? "I watched it two days ago. I felt that none but Suriya could have fitted the bill," Mahesh said in praise of his Kollywood contemporary.

Vikram is anyways doing a film with Mahesh after the bi-lingual with Allu Arjun is done with. It might release in 2018.

 

Superstar Mahesh Babu, who is awaiting the release of his forthcoming family dramaBrahmotsavam, says as an actor, he always likes to tread unexplored territories with his projects.

"I like to reinvent with each project, in any which way possible. I like to tread uncharted territory and push myself in terms of performance. 'Brahmotsavam' helped me to achieve that," said Mahesh Babu, talking to a news agency.

Directed by Sreekanth Addala, the film is slated for release in cinemas on Friday. It stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal and Pranitha Subhash among others.





This is Mahesh's second film with Addala after Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Commenting on their second-time collaboration, Mahesh said: "He first pitched the story of Brahmotsavam two years ago. I liked it, but couldn't immediately start working as I was committed to other projects. He patiently waited to work with me on this project.

The film is about relationships, said Mahesh, who was fascinated by his character. "I haven't played anything like this before. The best part is that I was required to be myself for the role. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Addala again," he added.

 

Mahesh Babu is busy giving interviews all over promoting his latest film Brahmotsavam. Speaking in an interview, Mahesh revealed some interesting facts and hailed young tiger NTR.

On being asked as to who is the best dancer in Tollywood, Mahesh immediately said that NTR is the undoubtedly the best dancer in Telugu. This revelation by Mahesh has made NTR fans super happy and they are spreading the news like wild fire.

Meanwhile, Brahmotsavam is ready for a release this Friday and is produced by PVP Cinema.

Adding further, Sirkanth revealed that Mahesh is quite patient and gives the opposite person a lot of time to make their point ad does not hurry up with his decisions. This is the second time after SVSC that Srikanth is directing Mahesh and let’s hope that they score a memorable hit.

According to highly reliable sources, the Superstar has liked a line narrated by Vamshi Paidipally and the two of them will be working together very soon. Vamshi Paidipally is already developing the full fledged bound script for it and the movie will be produced by PVP.

Mahesh Babu was really excited after hearing this line and he also reportedly congratulated Paidipally for his superb handling of the film ‘Oopiri’. The director is currently taking a break in the US but he has already started working on this film.

It is being said that Mahesh and Vamshi Paidipally will be formally announcing this project after a few more meetings.

 

Director-actor SJ Suryah who is now making a noticeable comeback as an actor alone in Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi, is super excited about his upcoming biggie where he will play the antagonist opposite Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. The actor confirmed the same at the grand press meet of Iraivi, which took place last night.

SJ Suryah will start shooting for his role in the second schedule of the film, which would take place in the third quarter of the year. Mahesh Babu who is just getting things in line after the poor performance of his Brahmotsavam at the box office, will get onto this project by mid July.

We have already reported that post Brahmotsavam’s release, Mahesh Babu went on a much needed short vacation along with his family to the USA.

Now, the actor is set to return tomorrow from his vacation. Apparently, the actor will immediately begin working on his next film with AR Murugadoss. The film touted to be a thriller, has been in pre-production for a while now and is ready to hit the sets soon.

Nearly 60 days of the film’s shoot will take place in Mumbai. The film is rumored to be made with a budget of a whopping 110 crores.
