Reports just coming in from various sources reveal that Mani Ratnam is planning to make a full fledged action movie after ‘Kaatru Veliydai’ on the lines of his super hit ‘Thalapathy’ that starred Rajini, Mammootty and Arvind Swamy.

The most breathtaking buzz on this front is that Vijay, Vikram and Ram Charan Teja will be the three heroes for Mani Ratnam. There are already more or less confirmed information that talks have been held with Ram Charan and now, according to sources Vijay and Vikram have both heard the script and given their nod.

This could be the mother of all movie news and we should stay positive that all the talks come to fruition as the class director is planning to announce the mega venture in June this year. A word of caution to our readers is that this is show business and anything could change at any time so we do have to wait for the official confirmation.

It is being prominently reported over the past few days that Ram Charan’s next after Sukumar’s movie will be in the direction of the legendary Mani Ratnam. An official announcement about this project is expected in a few days.

Now, the latest buzz has it that Mani has set a terrific combo for this much-awaited movie. Apparently, Arvind Swami, Mani’s precious find and the lead hero in his Roja and Bombay, will be seen in a crucial role in the movie.

Incidentally, Arvind Swami and Ram Charan were seen locking horns with each other in Dhruva. Things are surely getting exciting about this project!

Vijay is right now involved in his 61st film which is yet to be titled although there are various speculations on the same. The film is being directed by Atlee and also stars Nithya Menen, Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal.

While the work is going on in Vijay 61, there are talks that Ilayathalapathy will feature in a flick each directed by AR Murugadoss and also Jilla fame Neason.

Apart from these, he is also said to be in discussions with directors like Mohan Raja and Ezhil. It has to be remembered that Vijay had worked with Mohan Raja in Velayudham and with Ezhil in Thulladha Manamum Thullum.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Vijay and Vikram might team up with ace director Mani Ratnam. But looking at the various speculations, one is not sure about the collaborative chronology of these films. Let’s wait for an official confirmation.

K’town is abuzz with reports that prolific filmmaker Mani Ratnam is apparently all set to start a sequel of his superhit gangster film Thalapathy. And hold your breath, he has approached and got the concurrence of two biggies for the ambitious project — Vijay and Vikram — to reprise the roles of Rajinikanth and Mammootty respectively, who featured in the original!

Rumours are rife that the Roja director met both the actors and narrated the storyline to them, and might start the project after Kaattru Veliyidai’s release. The alluring aspect is that Ram Charan might essay the significant role, which Arvind Swami did in the original. source says that it is not true and with other fresh projects on his hand, Mani is unlikely to start this Thalapathy adaptation anytime soon. The rumours could have been triggered because of Vikram’s recent visit to Ratnam’s office, the source adds. His assistant Bejoy Nambiar, who is remaking Agni Natchathiram, yet another Mani film, in Hindi is considering a Thalapathy remake also in B’town.
