With her latest film, A..Aa, surpassing the $1 million club in overseas yesterday, Sam achieved a staggering feat of scoring four back-to-back $1 million movies in the US within a span of just two months.

Samantha’s dream run started with the blockbuster success of her first summer release, Theri, which became her first Tamil film to breach the $1 million milestone. She immediately followed it up with 24, which ended up as a huge success in overseas. Then came Mahesh’s Brahmotsavam, which again entered the $1 million club, only to be followed by A..Aa.

With this, Samantha has a whopping ten $1 million movies in her kitty, an unbelievable feat which no other Indian actress could achieve till date. Way to go, Sam!

 

Samantha has achieved a rare feat which no actress has and never will in her career. This summer has been phenomenal for the Kaththi actress as four of her recent releases have earned over $1 Million in the US, making her first actress to have 10 films in the Million dollar club.

Vijay-starrer Theri was Samantha's first release of the year to have made it to the Million dollar club in the US, followed by Suriya's 24, which did exception business and it was followed by Mahesh Babu's Brahmotsavam, which despite biting the dust in India, emerged quite successful in the US. With A...Aa, her fourth release of the year, she has added another film to the Million dollar club.

Other films have Samantha that have made it to the elite club include Mahesh Babu's Dookudu and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Nani-starrer Eega, Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daaredi, Nagarjuna's Manam and Allu Arjun's S/O Satyamurthy.

 

Looks like gorgeous beauty Samantha is not satisfied despite scoring the super hits this summer. The actress enthralled fans with her lovable romantic roles in her recent hits such as Theri, 24 and A..Aa. However, Samantha feels that it gets boring to play the same kind of roles and is now craving some experimental roles.

In the process, Samantha has already accepted an exciting offer to act in a female-centric film, a Telugu-Tamil remake of the latest Kannada thriller U-turn. Apart from this film, Sam also wants to act in varied genres and is eager to try out a horror film just to bring in some much needed change.
