Mammootty joins Kunchacko Boban, Joju George and Vinayakan in Pada!


We were among the first to report about Kunchacko Boban, Vinayakan, Joju George and Dileesh Pothan teaming up for a film titled ?Pada?. Kamal KM is directing the film and it is produced under the banner of E4 Entertainment. Almost 80% of the film?s shoot got wrapped up in August itself. Interestingly, the team has now got a major addition to the cast. Megastar Mammootty has been signed to play a crucial role in the film. He is expected to start shooting for his portions very soon.
?Pada? marks director Kamal KM?s entry to Malayalam. His debut film ?I.D? made in Hindi was a widely acclaimed work that went on to be screened at various international film festivals across the world, which includes Busan International Film Festival, Abu Dhabi Film Festival, International Film Festival of India (IFFI), International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and Deauville Asian Film Festival. Rajeev Ravi?a Collective Phase One had produced that film.
?Pada?, scripted by Kamal himself, is based on a real-life incident that occured in Kerala during the 90s. The movie has cinematography by Sameer Thahir. More details are awaited.
