Miami (US) based motorcycle manufacturer UM Motorcycles has confirmed that they’ll launch the Renegade Commando in India at the forthcoming Auto Expo in February 2016. The cruiser motorcycle will be available in two variants pan India. Earlier at the Auto Expo in 2014,UM Motorcycles had showcased a sizeable chunk of its product portfolio, which included the Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport, Renegade Duty and Xtreet.

The highly anticipated Renegade Commando is likely to be powered by a 300 cc, counterbalanced, single cylinder engine which is likely to output 24 bhp. Other features could include matte paint finishes, USB charging port and mirrors with blind spots. Prices are expected to hover around the INR 1.5 lakh mark. As for the variant details, we’ll have to watch and watch.

In India, UM Motorcycles have joined hands with UP-based Lohia Auto, with the motorcycles to be manufactured at the latter’s new plant in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. However, Lohia Auto would be responsible only for the manufacturing of the bikes and the rest of the operations such as R&D and sales & service network would be taken care of by UM Motorcycles India. 5 dealerships have already been appointed across India, while 50 more are being planned.
