This will be the third time that Tovino is teaming up with Prithviraj , their most recent venture being Ennu Ninte Moideen. The ABCD actor says, "Prithviraj is like a brother to me and being part of his films has only helped me in my career. However, the reason I took up Ezra was because I really liked my character and the script, which is unlike any horror-thriller I have read or seen."

Ezra already has Tamil actress Priya Anand , Pratap Pothen and Maheshinte Prathikaaram fame Sujith Sureshan lined up in its cast. Jaykrishnan has also roped in Bollywood actor Bharath Dabolkar, who has acted in movies such as Corporate and Company. "He is currently working in Kamal Haasan's Sabaash Naidu and will join our movie by next month," says Jaykrishnan, who has assisted several Bollywood directors including Rajkumar Santhoshi.
