ആദിയായി പ്രിത്വിരാജ്, ദാമോദർ ആയി റഹ്മാൻ, സീമ ആയി ഇഷാതൽവാർ, ഭാസ്കരേട്ടൻ ആയി നന്ദു അങ്ങനെ കൊറേ പേരുടെ ജീവിതങ്ങളും അവരുടെ വികാരവിക്ഷോഭങ്ങളും ആണ് പടത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമായി പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത്. പടത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ തന്നെ പടത്തിന്റെ basic plot and story വളരെ മനോഹരമായി നിർമൽ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്നു അതും ആദിയായി ഉള്ള പ്രിത്വിരാജിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിലൂടെ. ഓരോ കഥാപാത്രവും അതിന്റെ ഉചിതമായ അവസ്ഥകൾ വരച്ചു കാട്ടുന്നുണ്ട് ചിത്രത്തിൽ. കഥ പറച്ചിൽ മെല്ലെ പോക്ക് നയം ആണ് സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു. പിന്നെ ഒരുപാട് ചെറിയ ചെറിയ സംഭാഷണങ്ങൾ with english accentil പറഞ്ഞു പോയിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. Jakes Bejoy bgm പടത്തിന്റെ മൂഡും ആയി വളരെ യോജിച്ചു പോകുന്നു. പടത്തിൽ ആക്ഷൻ കുറവാണെങ്കിലും ഉള്ളത് മികച്ച രീതിയിൽ എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Moreover its not a action movie രണം mainly deals with emotions and lots of peoples life in detroit more than a action movie. Drugsinte അതിപ്രസരം, ഓട്ടോമൊബൈൽ നഗരമായ ഡിട്രോയിറ്റ് എങ്ങനെ ക്രിമിനൽ ആക്ടിവിറ്റീസ് നഗരമായി എന്നൊക്കെ വളരെ വിശദമായി ചിത്രത്തിൽ പറയുന്നുണ്ട്. ഒരു വത്യസ്ഥ ചിത്രമാണ് എങ്കിലും ബോക്സ്‌ ഓഫീസിൽ ഈ ചിത്രം എത്ര ദൂരം പിന്നീടും എന്ന കാര്യം പ്രിത്വിയുടെ ആദി പറയുമ്പോലെ every end has a new beginning. This new beginning should accepted by audiences.

One of the most-anticipated crime thrillers of Malayalam ? ?Ranam,? aka ?Detroit Crossing,? has finally landed in theaters today, September 6. It is perhaps the best cross-over movie in recent times?

Set in the United States, the movie revolves around Aadhi played by Prithviraj who is part of a drug dealing gang headed by Dhamodar (Rahman.) Prithviraj plays the role of a mechanic who longs for a revamp of his personal and professional lives?.

Aadhi is a drug dealer and sells RedEx, the latest party drug in the city. Most of his peers are stuck in the underworld business despite having a longing to lead a normal life. Yes, it is all because of the rule of the underworld- once you are in, you are in forever. There is Damodhar Rathnam (Rahman), who is the gang leader and Ashwin plays hiis brother. When Aadhi expresses his wish to leave the gang, the real war begins.

Prithviraj?s narration, intriguing moments, performances by the cast including Isha Talwar and Nandhu make the first half a true thiller

The second half is expected to present how Aadhi deals with the whole situation and how the climax links to the non-linear story.

Isha Talwar plays the female lead opposite Prithviraj in the movie which has a rich cast including popular Tamil-Malayalam actor Rahman, Ashwin Kumar and Nandu.

Mostly shot in the United States, the story begins at Atlanta, Georgia and progresses in Detroit, Michigan.

A full-fledged gangster movie, Ranam is packed with action, emotions, loud background score, a compelling story line and suspense

 

Disappointing second hf.Still an appreciable effort from the crew. Prithviraj rocked as a badass getawaydriver.
Music and bgm was excellent. One of the best in my recent memory.
Technically brilliant product.
Liked red colour template used by makers.
Good debut by nirmal. A promising one. He is here to stay.
On the downside, a heavily predictable screenplay and isha talwar..that role really deserves someone better.
Overall, an above average thriller, which deserves a big screen watch for all its effort.
