Mohanlal, Siddique to team up for an action-comedy


After Ladies and Gentleman, director Siddique and Mohanlal are all set to collaborate again for an all-out entertainer, which is set to go on floors by the end of this year, confirms the director.

Siddique, who had also codirected Mohanlal in Vietnam Colony, says that the movie will be made on a much bigger scale than their previous films. “It’s a big-budget movie loaded with action and humour,” he says. “There are also a lot of rumours about Nayanthara and Innocent playing prominent roles in the film but they are false. We are yet to confirm the cast as I have only a basic thread in my mind and am yet to start scripting.”

The director’s latest release was the Tamil remake of Mammootty-starrer Bhaskar The Rascal. While he had earlier told us that soon after the Tamil movie’s release, he would helm the Hindi remake with Sanjay Dutt in the lead, he now says, “That film is currently on hold as the producers are yet to decide who the lead will be.”
