Will Suriya 36 be Selvaraghavan’s next after Pudhupettai?


Filmmaker Selvaraghavan has been acclaimed for his versatility in different genres that he accomplishes with. But one among the most celebrated feature is ‘Pudhupettai’ that traverses through the coming of age in a gangster’s life that gets blended with politics. This was one among those movies that highly spoke about politics with realistic panorama. It now looks like after a long time, Selvaraghavan might be travelling through the same lanes with Suriya 36. If what we hear from the close sources is believed to be true, then Suriya 36 will be a political genre as well. But nothing has been officially confirmed by the team. The film stars Suriya, Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi in lead roles with Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music. Shooting of this film has commenced today and will be hitting screens for Diwali 2018. The film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures.

 

Suriya's 36th film, directed by Selvaraghavan, and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, recently went on floors last week, that has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan.


Sources close to us now reveal that the makers might most probably go down to Tanjore, as part of their next schedule plans. This schedule is reportedly said to be planned around the third week of February.


Targetting as Diwali 2018 release, Suriya 36 features Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh as female leads.

Suriya 36 shooting commenced soon after the festive occasion of Pongal. It has been nearly 12-15 days and the first schedule is now completed. According to the sources, the entire project will be wrapped up by end of July, which involves 90 days period. It is also learnt that the post-production works would be happening simultaneously. Yuvan Shankar Raja has already completed composing few songs. Selvaraghavanhas been carefully shaping up this project that he would like to break between each schedule to nurture the forthcoming schedules with more planning. The film’s first look might be released in June followed by teaser for Suriya’s birthday. Single tracks could be preferably have its way in August followed by complete album and theatrical trailer in October. Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi are playing the female lead roles in this film, which is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.
