Roshan Basheer talks about his role in Vijay 60
Vijay 60 directed by Bharathan has one more entrant in the form of Roshan Basheer who had earlier played the role of Asha Sharath's son in Papanasam. Incidentally, Roshan has also essayed the role of Vijay’s fan in Moondru Rasigargal, which is set for a release in June. He tells behindwoods how he got this offer and how it was to share his thoughts with Ilayathalapathy Vijay.

“One day, I got a call from Vijaya Productions with a role in a film. I told them that I was doing Moondru Rasigargal and will join them after 22nd. After I met them only, I realized it was for Vijay 60 and I was very happy. Bharathan sir had seen Papanasam and liked my performance. That’s how I got Vijay 60.

Bharathan sir told me the story and explained my character. I play the role of a college student in the film and it will be different from the one I played in Papanasam. It has some value in the film and is also suspense based one. I cannot reveal more than this. They have asked me to change my look, grow my hair and beard.

I shot for four days in Chennai and Hyderabad.

I met Vijay sir who was very friendly. I talked to him for more than 30 minutes. He came to know about our film Moondru Rasigargal and congratulated me. I mentioned that in Kerala, he has so many fans. All the cast and crew of Moondru Rasigargal are also Malayalees only.

Vijay sir appreciated my work in Papanasam and told that this film (Vijay 60) will bring me more recognition in Tamil film industry.

To me it is a dream come true. I play the role of a Vijay fan in one film and I get a chance to feature alongside him in my next. It is unbelievable. I am very happy and consider myself blessed. My next schedule for Vijay 60 will begin from the 3rd June in Hyderabad.”

Aparna Vinod, the charming actress known majorly for her Malayalam film Kohinoor, has apparently been roped in to play an important role in Vijay 60.

When we spoke to our sources close to Vijay 60 camp, they told us that she will be joining the team in the coming schedule which will start by the 2nd of June.

The role apparently needs an actress with Malayalee shades. She would supposedly play a village beauty and her character will be a turning point in the film. Aparna’s portions are likely to be completed in 3 to 4 days.

We are just a day away from stepping into the month of June. It is expected to be an eventful month for film buffs with events like the audio launch of Kabali, announcements regarding Thala 57 and Vijay’s birthday.

Vijay’s birthday falls on the 22nd of June and fans are eager to know about the special plans of the production team of Vijay 60 for Ilayathalapathy’s birthday.

When we inquired, the makers told us that there is a plan to release the first look photo of Vijay 60. Apparently the first look will not carry the title of the film which will only be unveiled after August 15th. The first look of Suriya’s Mass was also released without a title.
