Filmmakers are roping in leading Bollywood actors to star in these movies. Lately, the leading actors cast in the biopics are putting in their heart and soul in preparation for the role they take. In the past years, many famous actors in the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Sonam Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput have donned the roles of prominent individuals. 2018 will be no different. Here’s a list of Bollywood actors who are doing a biopic in 2018: Ranbir Kapoor – Sanju One of the most anticipated movies of 2018, Sanju will see Ranbir Kapoor essaying the role of the original Rockstar of Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt. The upcoming biographical drama film is written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Vidhu Vinod Chopra is producing the movie. Ranbir has put on a lot of effort to don the role of Sanju Baba. Ranbir’s look from the film is frequently leaked in the media. ‘Sanju’ is slated to hit the theatres on 29th June 2018. Akshay Kumar – Gold Akshay Kumar has been doing a lot of content-oriented films. His last film ‘PadMan’ that released this year was also a biopic. The actor will be next seen in the movie ‘Gold’. The historical drama film is based on the real-life events when India won its first gold medal in 1948 Olympics as a free country. He will be playing the role of Balbir Singh. Anupam Kher – The Accidental Prime Minister Anupam Kher will act as our former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the forthcoming biographical movie. The film is inspired by Sanjaya Baru’s memoir of the same name. It will release in the winters of 2018. Kangana Ranaut - Manikarnika The upcoming Bollywood biographical film, “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”, is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi and the First War of Independence in 1857. Kangana Ranaut will be seen portraying the role of Rani Laxmibai. Ankita Lokhande will make her debut and essay the role of Jhalkaribai. The filmmakers are yet to finalize the release date which might be in August this year. Diljit Dosanjh – Soorma Diljit Dosanjh will be seen next portraying the role of famous Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh in the biographical movie ‘Soorma’ coming out on 25th May 2018. The storyline is based on the real-life events of Sandeep Singh who was paralyzed and fought against all odds to make a comeback in International hockey.
