strong hold on Tuesday as collections dropped just 5% from yesterday after 50% plus drop on Monday. The Monday drop was a little more than normal due to the strong weekend (for this type of film) but it has consolidated well on Tuesday. The film is best in South India with Mysore (excellent), Nizam / Andhra and Tamil Nadu / Kerala all having strong collections. The business in Mysore has already crossed 4.50 crore nett in five days which is not far short of the lifetime business of Neerja (6.10 crore) and Kapoor & Sons (5.25 cr). It will easily cross these films in Mysore and also another similar film Pink as well as films like Fan and Rustom. The collections for the first five days of Dear Zindagi are as follows.






Friday - 8,75,00,000

Saturday - 11,25,00,000

Sunday - 12,50,00,000

Monday - 4,25,00,000

Tuesday - 4,00,00,000



TOTAL - 40,75,00,000



The lifetime business of the film will be decided by that Thursday to Friday and how big it can grow back on Saturday. A 60 crore nett total seems to be there and remains to be seen if it can go higher and by how much.

 

scored overseas and even stands in number five position for the year but if the picture in India is bad then overseas is worse with films going much wider tha before even the niche ones but openings just not happening. Dear Zindagi was driven bu the power of Shahrukh Khan but the content which is not really expected from Shahrukh Khan did get in the way in some markets like UK and Australia. Even if we looke at North America number, Canada did not perform but USA did very well. But in Overseas it has a target as a another niche Kapoor & Sons went to $7m plus and that won't be easy to reach for Dear Zindagi. The top ten overseas weekends are as follows..
