‘Dear Zindagi’ is showing an excellent trend in its second weekend at the box office. The release of ‘Kahaani 2’ hasn’t had an impact on business, as the second Saturday business of the Gauri Shinde directed film has crossed the 3.5 crore mark.

The film will collect around 57-58 crore by the end of its second weekend and the second week business is likely to be around the 65 crore mark. The release of ‘Befikre’ will affect business in the 3rd weekend, but ‘Dear Zindagi’ should finish a couple of crores under the 70 crore mark.

The trend in the second weekend has ensured that the distributors will recover costs and the film should emerge a ‘hit’ by the end of its second week.

‘Dear Zindagi’ is a hugely profitable film for the producers.

Dear Zindagi stands in 11th position in terms of Worldwide gross after ten days. It has edged past films like Neerja and Dishoom in ten days. It should also beat the business of Baaghi and Shivaay in the days to come. Kapoor & Sons stands at 143 crore and that is probably the best case scenario for the film. The Overseas business of Dear Zindagi is $6 million apprx in ten days. A total of 14 films have crossed 100 crore Worldwide this year so far compared to 15 last year and there is Befikre and Dangal still to come. Dangal being a Christmas release has huge potential to score big due to the extended holiday period in both the India and Overseas markets. Though the content may not be Overseas the period will compensate somewhat for that. The top twelve worldwide grossers of 2016 are as follows.

Dear Zindagi is seeing dropping collections as most of its limited target audience has been consumed. The Saturday growth will come as that target audience comes again but the weeknd will only do around 2 crore nett or just a littl;e higher. The business of Dear Zindagi till date is as follows.
