Even before their film Khakhee (Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru in Tamil) hits the screens, actors Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh have agreed to collaborate once again for an untitled movie. Touted to be a love story laced with loads of entertainment and action, the film will be directed by debutant Rajat Ravi Shankar. “Rakul and Karthi are coming together for a wholesome entertainer for the second time. Rajat narrated the script recently and Rakul was completely in awe of her character in the film.

She instantly gave her go ahead nod and the preparations for the film are underway,” says a source. To be produced by Lakshman Kumar, the film is likely to go onto the sets later this year soon after Rakul wraps up her upcoming Bollywood film Aiyaary. Meanwhile, Khakhee, directed by H Vinoth has completed the shooting and is gearing up for a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil on November 17.

Theeran Adhigaram Ondru will have Karthi play a cop while Rakul will be seen playing his love interest. And even before the release date of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru is confirmed, the lead pair – Karthi and Rakul – have agreed to team up once again for another film which is said to be a romantic entertainer. The yet to be titled is said to be directed by debutante director Rajat Ravi Shankar.

Rakul is currently shooting for her Bollywood film Aiyaary and may start working on her second film with Karthi.And while all this is happening, the makers of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru released the official teaser of the film today. Playing a cop, Karthi’s look seems to be the highlight of the film. The buzz around the film has only gone higher after the release of the teaser and fans of the actor are eagerly waiting for a release date confirmation.

According to a leading daily, actress Rakul Preet and Tamil star Karthi—who will soon be seen together in ‘Theeran Adhigaran Ondru’—may work together in another film pretty soon. Confirming that the two will indeed be seen together again, a source said that the film will be directed by debutant Rajath and is going to be a romantic drama that will appeal to the younger generation.

“It is true that the duo will be coming together on-screen yet again for a film, which will be helmed by debutant director Rajath, who is a former associate to director Kannan. The untitled film will be a romantic love story that will appeal to youngsters,” added the source.

If all goes as planned, the film will be bankrolled by the distributors of Suriya starrer ‘Si 3’ and is going to go on the floors in 2018.
Well, this some exciting news and could create quite a buzz amongst fans. On a related note, the above-mentioned ‘Theeran Adhigaram Ondru’ is touted to be an action-thriller and is based on real-life incidents. A Vinoth directorial, it features Karthi in the role of a cop while Rakul plays the role of a village belle. Its teaser was released a few days ago and created a buzz amongst fans because of its effective presentation.

Interestingly, sometime ago, Vinoth had praised Karthi’s dedication and said that he had given his 100 percent to ‘Theeran Adhigaram Ondru’.

“He is one person who will never say ‘no’ to anything I ask for. I was in awe of his commitment. He is a complete actor,” he had added.
