The teaser for Deepak Shivdasani’s Julie 2 is out and features a sun-soaked Lakshmi Raai. While there are next to no shots of her face, a lot more is teased in the 47-second video.

The film is a sequel to Neha Dhupia’s 2004 erotic thriller. In it, Neha played a sex worker who falls in love with a millionaire businessman and struggles to keep her secret hidden from him and his family. According to reports, Neha refused to act in the sequel of the movie.

Lakshmi has worked in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films and Julie 2 will mark her Hindi movie debut. It will be her 50th film. The trailer of the film promises to expose the dark secrets of Bollywood, underworld and politics and will be out on September 4.
The trailer shows her sun bathing in a golden mini skirt. “In fact, I will be seen in 96 different outfits. Also, I was asked to lose and then put on weight for this film. For the first look of the film, I had to lose 10-11 kilos and soon after, I had to gain more than what I had to lose,”she told Pinkvilla.
The film which also stars Ravi Kishen, Rati Agnihotri, Sahil Salathia, Aditya Srivastava, Pankaj Tripathi and Nishikant Kamant. TV actor Ravi Dubey took to Twitter to wish the team of the film all the best, “Bold beautiful blessed #julie #comingsoon congratulations @iamlakshmirai @VeerAryan_5 love and prayers always.”

Remember the lissome lass Neha Dhupia going topless in 2004 film Julie? The film did averagely business at the box office but Neha received appreciation for her role of a bold and beautiful sex worker. But after the actor refused to star in the sequel of the movie, south star Raai Laxmi bagged the role. And after watching the teaser of Julie 2, we are not even complaining. Raai has got into the skin of the character so well that you might just end up asking for more. Though her face is barely revealed in the 47 seconds long teaser trailer, the actor has managed to tease the viewers in her sultry avatar.

As the teaser of the thriller drama plays, we see Raai bathing in the sun and raising the temperature in her steamy appearance. The 50 films old actor has managed to put up an engaging act in the short teaser and from the look of it, it seems the audience might not get disappointed on October 6 when the film hits the theaters. Going by what the teaser said, the trailer of the film which promises to expose the dark secrets of Bollywood, underworld and politics will presumably be out on September 4. The tagline of the film reads, “Bold, Beautiful and Blessed.”

A lot has been written about the much-awaited flick 'Julie 2' that stars hit south actress Raai Laxmi. The makers released the teaser trailer of the film raising the anticipation for the film's release further more. The film is the second in a series of sorts, where 'Julie' featured Neha Dhupia in the titular role.
The short video clip sees Raai Laxmi in her full glory and gives an inside sneak peek into what one can expect from the story. Shot in beautiful locations overseas, the teaser is a treat for sore eyes. Talking about the same in an interaction with Bombay Times, she was quoted saying, "Julie 2' may have a lot of skin show, but it also has a hard-hitting, relatable story."
Laxmi is a well-known name down south and has a huge number of films to her credit in all four major languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Produced and directed by Deepak Shivdasani, 'Julie 2', is slated to release on September 4, 2017.
