A few days ago, there were reports that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be paired opposite Super Star Rajinikanth in his next movie. Even Vidya had confirmed that she is talks with the makers of Rajini’s next.



But if the ongoing reports are anything to go by, Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone too is in consideration for the leading lady’s role opposite Rajini. We will have to wait for a few more days to see if these speculations will turn out to be true. In the past, Deepika was seen alongside Rajini in the motion capture movie, Kochadaiiyan.

Rajinikanth’s next movie will be helmed by Kabali director Pa Ranjith and produced by his son-in-law Dhanush.

 

Khushbu made her Tamil debut in Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan’ in 1988, though she was paired opposite Prabhu in the film. Four years later she played his pair in ‘Mannan’, ‘Annamalai’ and ‘Pandiyan’, all three released in the same year.

Now, a buzz is doing the rounds that after twenty five long years Rajini and Khusbu are all set to share the screen space in the as yet untitled movie directed by Ranjith and produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films. When we contacted the director we were informed that it is baseless and he has not approached the yesteryear heroine for his film.

 

Superstar Rajinikanth has completed shooting for the mega budget sci-fi entertainer '2.0' directed by Shankar. A few months back, he has also started dubbing for the Vaseegaran and the Robot Chitti two characters he will be playing in this mammoth film on Robotics.

As we all know, Thalaivar will team up again with his blockbuster 'Kabali' director Pa.Ranjith after '2.0'. Actor and Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush will be funding this project under his Wunderbar Films banner.

While this project was announced in July 2016, the makers were waiting for the Superstar to be free from his commitments for '2.0'. Now that the shooting has been completed it is time to start the much expected Rajini-Ranjith project.

We learn from a reliable source that the shooting of the much anticipated film will start on April 14, 2017 on the auspicious Tamil New Year Day. It is also the birth anniversary of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar. the man who drafted the Indian Constitution and the leader respected the most by director Ranjith.

 

The pre-production work for Superstar Rajinikanth’s next after ‘2.0’ is in full swing and writer-director Pa. Ranjith is in the process of selecting his cast which is said to an ensemble like the duo’s previous outing ‘Kabali’.

There have been reports that Deepika Padukone has been cast as the leading lady for Rajini but Ranjith has denied the news and guess we all have to wait for official word to come.

Actress Khushboo to play a role in Rajinikanth's latest film



Actress Khushboo who was last associated with James Vasanth's directorial venture Oh Andha Naatkal, is all set to feature in Rajinikanth's movie with director Pa. Ranjith. Though details of the role are unknown, her casting seems to be the only one confirmed after speculations over names like Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone started doing the rounds. (The director later clarified that there was no truth to these speculations). It is to be noted here that Khushboo had already shared screen space with Rajinikanth in movies like Pandian, Mannan, Dharmathin Thalaivan, etc.

Regarding this untitled film, it is also being said that the names of two other actresses from 90s are being considered. To be produced by Rajinikanth's son-in-law actor, Dhanush K Raja, the pre-production work for this project is currently going on in full swing. The movie will be bankrolled under the banner Wunderbar Films and is expected to go on the floors by May, 2017.
