മോഹൻലാൽ നായകനായ ബ്രഹ്മാണ്ഡ ചിത്രം പുലിമുരുകൻ 100 കോടി കലക്‌ഷൻ ലഭിച്ച ആദ്യ മലയാള ചിത്രമായി. 15 കോടിയോളം വിവിധ റൈറ്റ്സിലൂടെ നേടിയ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ വിദേശത്തെ കളക്ഷൻ കൂടി കണക്കിലെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ ആകെ ബിസിനസ്സ് 100 കോടി കവിയും.

കേരളത്തില്‍ നിന്നു മാത്രം ചിത്രം 65 കോടിക്കു മേൽ നേടിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. യുഎഇ–യിൽ നിന്ന് 3 ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് 13 കോടിക്കു മുകളില്‍ നേടി സിനിമ ചരിത്രം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു അമേരിക്ക, യൂറോപ്പ്, എന്നിവടങ്ങളിലും ചിത്രം മികച്ച കലക്ഷൻ നേടുന്നുണ്ട്. ആദ്യദിന കലക്‌ഷൻ, ആദ്യ വാര കലക്‌ഷൻ, വേഗത്തിൽ 10 കോടിയും 25 കോടിയും കലക്‌ഷൻ നേടിയ ചിത്രം എന്നിങ്ങനെ റെക്കോർഡുകൾ പലതും തിരുത്തിക്കുറിച്ച സിനിമയ്ക്ക് ആദ്യമായ 100 കോടി നേടുന്ന മലയാള ചിത്രമെന്ന് ഖ്യാതിയും ഇനി സ്വന്തം.

കേരളത്തിലും മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലുമായി 325 സ്ക്രീനിൽ റിലീസ് ചെയ്ത സിനിമ ആദ്യദിനം മാത്രം കൊയ്തത് 4.05 കോടി രൂപ. രണ്ടാം ദിനം 4.02 കോടി , മൂന്നാം ദിനം 4.83 കോടി. മൂന്ന് ദിവസം കൊണ്ട് 12.91 കോടി രൂപ. മലയാളത്തിലെ ആദ്യവാര കലക്‌ഷൻ റെക്കോർഡ് മൂന്നാം നാൾ പിന്നിട്ടിരുന്നു മുരുകൻ. ഇനിയുള്ള കാത്തിരുപ്പ് 150 കോടി ക്ലബിൽ ചിത്രം എത്തുമോ എന്ന ഉത്തരത്തിനാണ്. പുലിമുരുകൻ റിലീസ് ചെയ്തതിനു ശേഷം പല സിനിമകൾ വന്നു പോയെങ്കിലും തിരക്ക് ഇപ്പോഴും മുരുകനു തന്നെ. ഇൗ നില തുടർന്നാൽ വൈകാതെ ചിത്രം 150 കോടി കടക്കുമെന്നാണ് ചലച്ചിത്രമേഖലയിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവർ നൽകുന്ന സൂചന.

Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan will collect around 150-160 crores : Liberty Basheer

Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan has created history by becoming the first Malayalam movie to enter the 100 crore club.

The movie is still running successfully in theatres. During the last weekend, almost all the shows were houseful in theatres playing Pulimurugan and some theatres even had special shows because of the huge rush.

Film Exhibitors President, Liberty Basheer in a recent media interaction has said that Pulimurugan will not stop at 100 crores and will collect around 150-160 crores. He said, by the first day response itself, it was almost sure that Pulimurugan will collect over 100 crores.

3 years after Mohanlal’s Drishyam, this is the first time that families, kids and youths are coming to theatres to watch and the enjoy a movie together. Many people have watched the movie about 5-6 times. Repeat audience is helping the movie a great deal.

 

UK box office: Mohanlal's Pulimurugan surpasses lifetime collection of Oppam, JSR and Premam in 3 days

The action thriller, which has been distributed all over the UK by PJ Entertainments, has been making stupendous business at the overseas market. The Mohanlal-starrer has surpassed the lifetime collection records of the recent Malayalam releases, including the superstar's Oppam and Nivin Pauly's family entertainers Jacobinte Swargarajyam (JSR) and Premam at the UK box office, within three days of its release.

Prajeesh Kumar, Managing Director of PJ Entertainments, told International Business Times, India, that the Vysakh directorial, which earned £13,800 on the first day, has made a collection of £90,162 (Rs 74 lakh) during its opening weekend in the UK. The Mohanlal-starrer made the record collection within three days, beating the earning of the superstar's crime thriller Oppam, which made £84,741 (Rs 70 lakh) in 21 days at the UK box office.

Meanwhile, Vineeth Sreenivasan's directorial venture JSR collected £82,451 (Rs 68 lakh) in 28 days followed by Alphonse Puthren's Premam, which minted £80,296 (Rs 66 lakh) after running successfully for 35 days all over the UK.
