I don’t like the way the club changes coach every two years Real Madrid’s, Cristiano Ronaldo, stated that he is not an “extraterrestrial" and can also go through "difficult phases" , but now feels that he has put behind him, "his physical problems” and feels a lot more motivated. He also took time to praise former Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti during his interview with ESPN’s Sports Centre programme. He claimed that he perception prior to working with the Italian was one of "an arrogant individual" but upon getting to know him he found him to be, "a great coach and wonderful person" and would relish the chance of working with him again. The Portuguese player stated that his physical problems are behind him. "I has some physical problems but cannot reveal the nature of these. This was a situation at the start of the season and now I’m in much better shape, I feel better and this is being shown on the pitch", he also added that he feels far more motivated and content. The Madrid player observed that everyone goes through bad phases, not just footballers. "It’s normal that we have ups and downs. My aim is to play well in every game and hope that I can help assist Real Madrid to secure a trophy by the end of the season", affirmed the Portuguese international. Cristiano also took time to recollect on coaches he has worked with in his time at Madrid. Cristiano confessed that working with Carlo Ancelotti was "an incredible surprise". "I initially that that he was going to be an arrogant person but he was the total opposite”, he assured. After having worked under four separate coaches at the club he acknowledged that this “is sometimes not easy” and that this constant change is difficult. "I don’t like the way the club buys and sells players every year, the squad needs time to work and grow together and it takes time to get to know the coach. This is a key way for personal and collective improvement", he admitted. The No. 7 admitted that he now feels "comfortable" with Rafa Benítez . "I feel comfortable playing in any position on the pitch, I play with freedom and I feel good” he continued "I try and get the best from every coach. Not just Alex Ferguson, but also Pellegrini, Mourinho, Ancelotti, and now with Benítez. The all have a unique style with different opinions. I’m the player I am as each coach has helped me in his own way”, he concluded.
