'It is tricky to act alongside Prithviraj'





Parvathy Nair, who was in the news for being part of Kamal Haasan-starrer Uttama Villain, is back in Malayalam, and will be seen in a prominent role in the upcoming film, James and Alice.

The actress, who plays a bold and tomboyish character, says that it is no easy task to enact her role, for different reasons. "The character itself is a bit tricky since it has two different shades. She appears chilled out and cool but turns out to be totally different from what people imagine her to be. She breaks a lot of stereotypes. The body language needed a bit of homework and I have to really focus for every scene," she says.
Secondly, the actress shares screen space with Prithviraj in the film, for the first time in her career. "It has been stressful as well as enlightening to have Prithviraj as a co-star," she says. "Stressful, because acting comes so easily and naturally to him. His style is subtle yet expressive. He is blessed in that sense, and is what every actor would aspire to be. You have it in the back of your mind all the time that you have to match up to his level. At the same time, he makes things easy for you. He guides you and helps you with the dialogues. His concentration levels are really high, and it is amazing to see him get into the character in a matter of seconds. I find myself getting better and feel that among all the actors I have worked with, he is the one I have learnt the most from."
In the film, Prithviraj plays an artist-turned-advertiser while Parvathy, his colleague. "The director, Sujith Vaassudev, is as much of a perfectionist as Prithviraj. Neither of them believe in resting until they get every scene perfect," Parvathy signs off.
