    After the one month long standstill, the theatres in Kerala opened to packed crowds as two high profile films hit the screens. Sathyan Anthikkad’s Jomonte Suvisheshangal, starring Dulqer Salmaan, came on Jan 19 and the Mohanlal-Meena family saga Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, directed by Jibu Jacob, came on Jan 20. Though the official figures haven’t come yet, there are reports suggesting that both the films have got a rousing welcome from malayalee audiences. Jomonte Suvisheshangal has collected more than some of the recent Dulquer Salmaan hits on the first day from the Kochi multiplexes. The unconfirmed figures suggest more 17.60 lakhs were the collections from Kochi multiplexes alone on day one. Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is soon turning out to be a major hit and has better theatre occupancy than Jomonte Suvisheshangal, as per sources. The film has received better reviews as well and is sure to attract family audiences in the days to come, as per industry estimates
