Tamil action thriller film, Kanithan, released last year with Atharvaa and Catherine Tresa in the lead roles. The flick was a blockbuster and raked in colossal amount at the box-office. Talks about its Telugu remake have been on since last year and seems like makers have finally locked the male lead of the flick. Earlier, Ravi Teja was roped in for the remake but the project was delayed due to reasons best known to the makers. One of the main reasons for the project not taking off was producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu’s busy schedule. Now if reports are anything to be trusted, Nikhil Siddharth has been finalised for the male lead.s per a source, “Actor Nikhil Siddharth could now be a part of the film as he had liked the original. With the film now being offered to him, he is seriously considering it — especially since it’s a script that fits his image of being different and also suits his age perfectly”. Helmed by T.N. Santhosh, the flick will be bankrolled by T.N. Santhosh.
Before finalizing 'Touch Chesi Choodu' and 'Raja The Great', Ravi Teja had heard a number of scripts. The Tamil movie 'Kanithan' was one among them. The film didn't come through. As per a media report, the project is going to be revived. Nikhil Siddharth may well step into Mass Maharaja's shoes. After 'Kesava', this is going to be yet another action thriller for the young actor. How far Nikhil can reprise Atharvaa well is to be seen. 'Kesava' didn't have action of the kind we see in a mainstream actioner. 'Kanithan' has to be adapted to suit Telugu nativity.
Recently it was reported that Nikhil Siddharth has joined hands with debutant director Sharan Koppishetty for the remake of Kannada blockbuster 'Kirik Party', which will be produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments banner. Touted to be youthful entertainer, the film is set in a college backdrop and Keshava actor will be seen essaying the role of a student leader. Currently the actor is busy overseeing the audition process of the film. He took to twitter and revealed that he has signed another project with a top production house and will be shoot two film simultaneously. He went on to say that he has a new target that he will act in more movies every year. Nikhil tweeted, “Iv signed Another film for another Prestigious Production house and will be shooting two movies Simultaneously... #TargetMoreMoviesAyear.” According to the latest buzz, Nikhil will be next seen in a multistarrer film alongside Akkineni Nagarjuna. The official confirmation is awaited regarding it.
