Babel (2006) Made by the great director Alejandro González Iñárritu starring bradd pitt. This movie is the third and final installation of his famous death trilogy movies....following Amoress Perros and 21 grams. All the three movies have just one thing in common...death. The movie is an excellent peice of filmamking masterpiece. The director was one of the earliest ones to make overlapping simoultaneous life like movies...like our traffic. This movie will make you think about how each of our lives are intertwined. If you want to see the quality of the actor in Bradd Pitt..do watch this. Evry single actor is top notch. One of the earliest foreign movies I watched..and still remains one of my all time favourites.
The Invitation(2016) Will is invited to a dinner by his ex wife out of the blue.He is hearing from her after two years.Some of his friends are there.Also present are Will's girlfriend couple of strangers and his ex wife's partner.Will senses something strange going on with this party.Is Bill being paranoid??Or is something strange really going on?? Invitation is a pretty good thriller.The movie manages maintain it's big reveal quite well.Even though after a point we might see where it could be going the narrative creates enough doubt in our mind so that we won't be convinced fully where the story is headed. My Rating:7/10
Yakuza Apocalypse(2015) Takashi Miike enna Japanese samvidhayakante film.Pulliyude 13 Assassins,Audition,Ichi the Killer Ith moonnum njan kanditund.He is known for making violent and mostly very very weird movies .Sadly Yakuza Apocalypse comes under weird with not much else to go for it. The plot is something like this.Kageyama is a gang member who idolizes his boss.He wants to be a Yakuza leader like his boss.His boss is killed and we find out that he was a vampire.Before dying he turns Kageyama into one.After this I have pretty much no idea what happened. If you want to watch a weird movie go for this.Otherwise give it a miss and check out 13 Assassins or Audition

Blackhat(2016) This movie was a big dud in box office and I can kind of understand that fate.But I enjoyed this movie.It's a competent enough thriller which is interesting until the last act. A hacker causes a meltdown in nuclerar reactor in China.The same guy manipulates stock market in US .A taskforce of US and Chinese agencies are formed to find this guy.The Chinese agent pulls some strings and springs his former roommate(a brilliant hacker himself)from prison.This team goes after the "Blackhat". The movie is engaging and watchable.Things like an unwanted romantic track and and running time work against the film.But the movie is not as bad as it's RT score suggests My Rating:6/10

Kung Fu Jungle ennoru Donnie Yen film kandu.He plays a martial artist who is in prison for accidentally killing a guy in a duel.There is now a psychopath killing martial artists.Donnie Yen manages to get on the team investigating these killings as a means of commuting his prison sentence.The story sounds fun on paper but sadly the movie is not that good.The fight scenes are so and so except the climactic fight which was pretty good until some shoddy graphics spoiled the fun.Better martial arts movies are there.No problem in skipping this one
