    Tower Heist

Apart from that rushed ending,Tower Heist has enough moments to hook your interest and indeed qualifies as a decent entertainer. The basic plot doesn't have much of a substance, still the enjoyable narration backed by a bunch of amusing performances makes this an engaging experience.Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy were at their best, both the actors did their part wonderfully. The rest of the cast including Casey Affleck,Michael Pena and Tea Leoni were superb.

Bret Ratnner did an impressive job being the director. The pacy narrative pattern infused with enough amount of comedies and thrills is the prime factor which made this an enjoyable outing. The slick technical aspects were superb, ranging from the fabulous frames to the electrifying soundtracks, everything was in perfect sync.In short,Tower Heist may not be a great cinema, but this one is definitely an entertaining flick.

Overall, Tower Heist is Entertaining !

    Guardians of the Galaxy 2

The second installment of the GOG franchise is largely entertaining and indeed finds a place above its predecessor. The slick packaging flavored with all the visual splendors supported by the superb performances makes this as an enjoyable experience.Chriss Patt,Zoe Saldana,Dave Bautista,Michael Rooker were all good reprising their respective roles.Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel once again renders their voice superbly,Baby Groot was extremely adorable,Kurt Russel was powerful enough to portray the antagonist part with perfection.Supporting Cast were good with their performances.

Marvel Studios has carved a niche for themselves over these years and never fails in entertaining their viewers. Most of the films under Marvel's production will have something to rejoice and this one is no exception.James Gunn being the director was in full control of things and was highlysuccessful in crafting a cinema which stands above its former part.Like all Marvel flicks, the technical aspects were just opulentmaking this a visualgrandeur. To sum it up,GOG 2 is a good entertainer and has enough moments for both Marvel and GOG fans.

Overall,Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is Entertaining !

    The Salesman (Iranian)

The Salesman is a masterfully layered drama. The polished way of storytelling backed by the vivid performances makes this a stunning piece of work.Shaahab Hosseini's finely nuanced performance was a treat to watch, this one film is enough to know his acting prowess.Taraneh Alidoosti is another stupendous performer, the subtle manner through which she conveyed most of the emotions is something to watch out for. Then comes Farid Sajadhosseini who makes a strong impact in a brief role, his performance in the final scenes were simply outstanding.

Though I haven't seen any of Asghar Farhadi's other works, this cinema is more than enough to stamp him as a top-notch filmmaker. The realistic environment through which he portrays such a powerful theme itself shows his mettle, without a single soundtrack nor any visual gimmicks,he succeeds in making it a gripping cinematic experience. The finale is indeed the best part of this cinema, those scenes were a class apart. In short,Wonderfully Crafted and Beautifully Acted - The Salesman is one gem of a cinema.

    Overall,The Salesman is a Masterpiece !

    Duel

Out of a car and a truck,Spielberg has crafted a riveting thriller. With just about 90 minutes of running time, the film garners your attention wholesomely proving it to be an edge of the seat experience. The performance of Dennis Weaver is something to watch out for.He skillfully gets into the skin of the character and delivers an astounding performance, the physical and mental exhaustion of the character was clinically brought out by this fantastic actor.

Spielberg movies are best known for its technical fineness and this one is no exception.Even though it is a 1971 flick, the film boasts of some stunning visuals.Duel was Spielberg's first full length feature film and this was more than enough to showcase his immense craftsmanship, the racy narrative pattern is indeed the biggest strength of this cinema. To sum it up,Duel is a wonderful thriller which has enough nail biting moments to keep you engaged.

    Overall,Duel is a Superb Thriller !

    The Invitation

With a pretty interesting premise on board,The Invitation turns out to be an engaging cinema. This one is basically a leisurely building thriller,it takes its own time to settle and finally ends on a high note. The intense performances helped largely in making the proceedings interesting.Logan Marshall-Green was at his best playing the character of Will with utmost perfection.Tammy Blanchard and Michiel Huisman were another actors to come up with great performances.

Karyn Kusama being the director was able to pull off a satisfying thriller out of an impressive theme. The mood of the film was set right with those unlighted frames and gentle soundtracks. The shots were mostly confined to a single building, neverthless it was of superior quality. This one has some brilliantly etched out sequences, the best being that terrific ending scene. On the whole,The Invitation is not a great cinema like many of the reviews suggests, but this one is doubtlessly a decent thriller.

    Overall,The Invitation is Worth a Watch !

    Triangle

Brilliantly Constructed and Amazingly Performed,Triangle is yet another addition to the list of those mind twisting cinemas.Right from the very start, the film moves on a brisk pace providing enough moments that will make you think over and over of the events happening.Melissa George did her part with aplomb,it was indeed a complex role, but she pulled it off fabulously. The rest of cast including Liam Hemsworth and Micheal Dorman were good with their performances.

Though not in the league of Inception and Predestination,Christopher Smith did an impressive job crafting a smart and interesting cinema. The slick presentation comprising of some quality shots and indulging soundtracks made it even more intriguing.Out of the box thinking always results in some creative ideas,Triangle is one such cinema which boasts of a solid theme and equally engaging narrative pattern.

    Overall,Triangle is Superb !

    No Country For Old Men

No Country For Old Men is doubtlessly a Coen Brothers Masterpiece.A solid theme backed by some astounding performances and a rooted narrative pattern makes this one gem of a cinema. This one has a bunch of talented actors like Tommy Lee Jones,Josh Brolin,Kelly Macdonald and Woody Harrelson, but none of them were able to match up with Javier Bardem who comes up with a spellbinding performance.Without any second thoughts, Antone Chigurh is one of the most ruthless and badass villain to have produced by Hollywood,Bardem brough out his best playing that character with utmost conviction.

The masterfully nuanced making of Coen Brothers is always a treat to watch. The film is indeed a gut wrenching portrait of a violent theme, but the sublime visuals vulcanised with a calm and restrained manner of storytelling made it much more appealing. The minimal usage of soundtracks was perfect considering the mood and genre of this cinema. To sum it up, No Country For Old Men is a brilliantly crafted crime drama and will definitely find its place among the finest works of Coen Brothers.

Overall,No Country For Old Men is a Must Watch !

    9/10

Fargo and now this one - I'm fast becoming a Coen Brothers admirer ❤

    John Wick : Chapter 2

"John Wick is a man of focus, commitment and sheer f*****g will,"It's not just a car,Its John Wick's car" - Filled with such fiery dialogues and enthralling action sequences, the sequel to John Wick offers exactly what it promised to be - A solid action thriller.Keanu Reeves once again steps into the shoes of his iconic character and astounds us,the unrivalled swag with which he lights up every sequence is just fabulous.Riccardo Scamarcio did a commendable job playing the antagonist. The rest of the cast were fine.

Chad Stahelski deserves all the applause for making it a faithful and compelling sequel. This is doubtlessly on par with its predecessor and provides all the excitement making it a gripping cinema.Though the film carries a dark tone, the frames were superb and the action scenes were terrifically shot. The soundtracks were also great and was completely in sync with the proceedings. To sum it up,the second installment of the John Wick series has everything to keep you hooked.
