Columbus(2017) If you are a fan of the kind of movies where some well drawn characters interact with each other but there is not much of a story really then Columbus will engage you. Jin is a Korean man whose father is suddenly taken ill.He flies in from Seoul to be near him and strikes up a friendship with a local girl. Together they explore the town which is considers a architectural Mecca. This is not exactly the kind of film I usually watch or enjoy.I liked this one fine.It is well acted, beautifully shot, not too long(some will find it slow). So worth a look in my opinion. Darkest Hour Darkest Hour often fails to match the standard set by Gary Oldman's breathtaking portrayal of Winston Churchill, indeed it's he who owns this cinema.Apart from a spectacular Gary Oldman,it's the technical finesse that transforms the 128 minutes into an intriguing experience.
The Commuter The Commuter has nothing much to rave about, still a great Liam Neeson and few generic thrills works in favor of this cinema. The Commuter has its share of similarities with the director's previous work 'Non-Stop' which also starred Liam Neeson in the lead, nevertheless this is a decent action thriller.
Mom and Dad A premise that's extremely bizarre, totally insane performances by Nicolas Cage and Salma Blair, and a slick and outlandish narrative - Mom and Dad is completely an unusual cinema, and yes it does entertain.
The Bar (Spanish) The Bar has an arousing start, but the monotonous narrative play the spoilsport and makes this end up as a run-of-the-mill survival thriller. The Bar indeed has a couple of intriguing moments, still it didn't rise up to its great potential.
Coco When Disney and Pixar joins together for a venture, nothing could possibly go haywire, and Coco is no exception.Coco is a remarkable piece of work comprising of some profound tunes and absorbing moments,it is undoubtedly the finest animated movie in recent times.
Maze Runner : The Death Cure The Maze Runner is the rare series that has improved with each installment, expanding beyond the organic pen of the first film into a bigger and more thrillingly realized science fiction sandbox. If you don't mind the near-total absence of originality, The Death Cure is an OK ride, with a likable, multiethnic cast. It's...not great. But it's better than it has any right to be. Rating : 5.2/10
