Bridge of Spies Well made cold war drama.An insurance lawyer played by Tom Hanks is asked to defend a man accused of being a Russian spy in this film which is based on a true story.Good movie My Rating:7/10
The Big Short(2015) After the Oscar winning Spotlight another ensemble piece which got some award season love and I must say it is deserved.Big Short is funny scary and smart.The ensemble which includes Steve Carrell,Christian Bale,Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt is in top form.This inside look into 2008's economic crisis is very good.Personally I liked it more than Spotlight. Brooklyn Its a joy to watch Brooklyn, most of which is conveyed through the eyes of Eilis's character. The deep connection felt by two human beings in a relationship(Tony & Eilis) is something to watch out for. A natural hug instead of a kiss is a welcome change to reality.
The Lobster Quirky, Dark Comedy; not for everyone The lobster is pretty weird ,yet an interesting one . It has a very, very different plot. It's one that I've never seen and probably doesn't exist anywhere else. It's extremely original, but what's originality without knowing what to do with it? Luckily, Yorgos Lanthimos knew exactly what he was doing, and he did a fantastic job. I don't want to spoil it for you people ,by revealing the plot ,,Watch it for yourself Overall The Lobster is a very different movie. It's nothing like what you'd expect in a sci-fi romance. In the end I would, without a doubt, recommend this movie to anyone.
I really enjoyed this movie even though it's quite an emotional movie and that's normally not the kind of movie I go for. The mixture of humour and fatal disease seen by teenagers was interesting to watch. The actors all did a perfect job. The dry sarcastic humour from Thomas Mann as Greg and RJ Cyler as Earl are a delight to watch. At the same time you feel sorry for the dying girl (Rachel) played beautifully by Olivia Cooke. Overall it is a nice story if you're looking for something like "The Fault in Our Stars" but with a slightly darker tone and a lot more humour.

The Hallow is a decent monster movie which is worth spending 90+ minutes of your time.The movie follows a couple and their infant son who recently moved into a house situated in the woods.Conventional wisdom would be to expect a haunted house movie.But this is more of a "haunted" woods movie.
