he shoot of Shankar's 2.0 is progressing at a brisk pace, and we have some interesting latest update about this magnum opus.


Sources close to us inform that the team is currently camping at VIT college, where some of the important scenes of the film are being canned. Apart from this, we hear that there will be a five-day CG work that will happen in the second week of March at Legacy Effects Studio in the United States of America. Legacy Effects Studio have already worked in two Tamil films earlier which are Enthiran and 7am Arivu. 2.0 will be their third venture in the K-town.


2.0, starring Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar, Sudhanshu Pandey and others, is being targetted for a 2017 Diwali release.

Some time back, we had revealed that Amy Jackson is busy shooting for her latest film 2.0. The latest news is that a heavy duty action sequence is being filmed in the outskirts of Chennai.



Both Amy and the main villain, Akshay Kumar are taking part in this action sequence which is being filmed at a whopping price of 12 crores. By this month-end, Amy Jackson will complete her part in this much-awaited action entertainer.

Shankar directs this film which is made on a whopping budget of 450 crores. Rajinikanth plays the main lead in this film which has music by Oscar winner A R Rahman.

shooting of Super Star Rajini and Shankar’s much-awaited sci-fi thriller, 2.0, is going on at a brisk pace. The film’s final schedule is going on at a specially erected set at Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu.



Meanwhile, there have been speculations that the film’s entire shooting part will be completed by February end. In their response, the makers have clarified that the shooting will continue till March end and a short patchwork schedule will take place in April.

Produced by Lyca Productions, this movie has Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as the main antagonist. Amy Jackson will be seen as the female lead in this high budget flick, which is slated for a grand release during Diwali 2017.

The Rajini-Shankar’s much-awaited sci-fi thriller, 2.0, has wrapped up its talkie part after the movie’s unit completed a 15-day marathon shoot in Chennai this morning. The unit will soon can a song and a minor patchwork before breaking the pumpkin.



The film’s leading lady Amy Jackson, who is reportedly playing a robot, has completed her part with the just concluded schedule. Already, 2.0’s team is busy with the post-production work. The film will feature extensive VFX.

2.0, being shot on 3D format, is slated to hit the screens in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi during the Diwali season. Akshay Kumar plays the film’s antagonist. AR Rahman is scoring the soundtrack and Lyca Productions banner is bankrolling this high budget entertainer.
