idaa has provided the much needed box-office success for director Shekhar Kammula and actor Varun Tej whereas it's business as usual for producer Dil Raju. Undoubtedly, the lion's share of the credit for the success of the film goes to the heroine Sai Pallavi who made it a one-man show or a one-woman show rather.
The film has grossed around Rs 16.5 crore at the ticket-window in the first four days and has turned out to be a safe bet for the buyers. With another week to go and there being no other competition barring Gautam Nanda which is releasing this Friday, Fidaa is all set to be a super grosser. Unconfirmed reports put the budget of the total film at around Rs 16 crore as it was made over a period of eleven months.
Judging by the response, the film can easily enter the Rs 30 crore club towards the end of its theatrical run.

 

Sekhar Kammula's directorial venture Fidaa starring Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi, has packed a solid punch at the worldwide box office and is set to enter all time top 10 highest grosser in overseas. The film has grossed more than $125 K on Saturday to surpass the $1.5 million milestone.



Fidaa was released on 21st July and received a positive response from the audience and critics and the word of mouth took its business upwards. In its opening weekend, Fidaa minted $ 955,455 (Rs 6.15 cr) at USA box office. In its first week, Dil Raju’s production venture earned $ 1,282,972 (Mon $ 59,778, Tue $ 175,391, Wed $ 52,514, Thu $ 39,834. Total: $ 1,282,972 [Rs 8.23 cr]).



Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Telugu film #Fidaa DOMINATES in USA... Biz should grow over the weekend... [Week 2] Fri $ 86,082. Total: $ 1,375,210 [? 8.82 cr]. @Rentrak”



The traders are predicting that the film will collect close to Rs 30 Cr worldwide shares in its full run. Fidaa became the biggest opener and highest grossing film for Varun Tej till date.

Mega Prince Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi starrer Shekar Kammula’s romantic and family entertainer drama, Fidaa, which narrates a beautiful love story between an NRI boy and a Telangana girl, has seen an excellent first weekend. It has finally joined the club of $1 Million mark in United States on its 4th day.



The film has emerged one of the biggest box office hits of the actor in recent times and also collected Rs 12 Cr in both Telugu States Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 4 days.



Fidaa is the first $1 million movie for Varun Tej, Sai Pallavi and Shekar Kammula, whereas it is a hat-trick $1 Million film for Dil Raju in 2017.



Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Telugu film #Fidaa takes a SUPER START... Debuts at No 13 at USA BO... Opening weekend: $ 955,455 [? 6.15 cr].” The film, which collected $955,455 until Sunday, breached the $1 million mark within the first few of hours on Monday.

Natural star Nani, who has scored double hat-trick with ‘Yevade Subramanyam’, ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoi’, ‘Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gaadha’, ‘Gentleman’, ‘Majnu’ and ‘Nenu Local’, is currently busy in his ongoing project ‘MCA’ (Middle Class Abbayi), helmed by 'Oh My Friend' fame Sriram Venu and produced by Dil Raju whereas the music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Premam and Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi is on the board to share the screen space with Nani.

Nani is very impressed with the performance of Sai Pallavi in her recently released film ‘Fidaa’ starring Mega Prince Varun Tej, directed by Sekhar Kammula. Recently Nani watched Fidaa and shared his opinion on the film in Telangana slang by his tweet. He tweeted, “Gippude #Fidha chushna ... With a single film Fidaa Varun Tej joins top league smashing the lifetime records of 7 leading young heroes records including Ram Pothineni, Nani, Gopichand, Ravi Teja, Sai Dharam Tej, Sharwanand and Naga Chaitanya. The film is set to join the club of Rs 40 Cr club and It has already declared as double blockbuster.
