Akira: Akshay Kumar can't wait to see Sonakshi Sinha's next.

Akshay Kumar, who has worked with Sonakshi Sinha in four films, is proud that the Dabangg actor is pushing boundaries for meaty roles and can't wait to watch Akira.

Sonakshi Sinha is on a roll. After signing back-to-back films, the 29-year-old actor recently shared the first look poster of her upcoming film Akira. Sonakshi, who has been a part of Bollywood since 2010, is all set to appear in a never-seen-before avatar in AR Murugadoss' Akira. Unlike her previous films, Akira is a female-oriented film and the actor playing the titular role only adds to her career graph.

Pakistani model and actress VJ Maya Ali has been roped for the ‘Kaththi’ remake but she is not going to share the screen space with Megastar Chiranjeevi, she will act opposite Akshay Kumar who is playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of Kaththi. The movie is tentatively titled as ‘Ikka’ and being directed by Jagan Shakti, former associate director of AR Murugadoss.



VJ Maya Ali is very popular in modelling world of Pakistan. The regular shoot of the movie will be kick when Akshay Kumar will become free from his prior commitment as he is busy in his upcoming movies, Jolly LLB, Rustom and Robo 2.0.



On the other side, the shoot of its Telugu version, ‘Kathilantodu’, has been already started from 23rd June in Hyderabad under the direction of VV Vinayak and it is produced by Ram Charan. Currently the makers are in the hunt of actress.

WHOA! Pakistani Actress Maya Ali To Debut Opposite Akshay Kumar In ‘Kaththi’ Remake?



While there have been reports of Akshay Kumar starring in the Hindi remake of A.R. Murugadoss’ ‘Kaththi’, here’s a news for all his fans out there- Khiladi Kumar would be seen romancing Pakistani actress and model VJ Maya Ali in the movie!

The original one starred Vijay in a double role along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, it had Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the main antagonist. So while we would have two Akshay Kumar’s, it would be interesting to see if Mukesh plays the villain in this one too.

Tentatively titled ‘Ikka’, the movie will mark the directorial debut of Jagan Shakti and the shoot may begin once Kumar wraps up ‘Robot 2’ and ‘Jolly LLB 2’.

      Akshay Kumar is known to work on more than one film a year, and the recent buzz is the actor has signed Divya Khosla Kumar's next. The interesting part is "Khiladi" Kumar has reportedly demanded a huge amount to star in the "Sanam Re" director's movie and she has agreed to the actor's terms.
      
      "Divya and Akshay have discussed the project, and Akshay has agreed to be a part of it for a huge price — approximately Rs. 56 crore. Divya seems to have agreed to the terms," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
      
      
      
      
      
      Divya, wife of T-Series Chairman Bhushan Kumar, has directed films like "Yaariyan" and "Sanam Re," and also a few music videos. Both films did well at the box office and the music videos have also done good business. So, it seems the director has no problem with the amount asked by Akshay.
      
      On the other hand, Bhushan and Divya denied the reports and called it a mere rumour. When Deccan Chronicle contacted Divya, she said: "This is news to me," while her husband Bhushan said: "It's a rumour, Divya is still writing the script."
      
      
      If reports are to be believed, it will be interesting to see Akshay in Divya's film, which is mostly a full-fledged love story. Meanwhile, the "Airlift" actor is flying high with the success of his latest movie, "Housefull 3," which also starred Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon.
      
      He will next be seen in "Rustom" and the sequel of "Robot," titled "2.0." "Rustom," directed by Tinu Desai, is a romantic thriller starring Akshay, Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta. The film is inspired by the life of navy officer KM Nanavati. It is slated to be released worldwide on Aug. 12 along with Hrithik Roshan's "Mohenjo Daro." And, in "2.0," Akshay will be seen as the antagonist, sharing screen space with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.

He did Airlift and Housefull 3 and is now gearing up for Rustom. However, it was widely speculated that Akshay Kumar has got an untitled Divya Khosla Kumarfilm up his sleeves. And he has charged a whopping acting fee of Rs 56 crore to act in the film.

However, Divya Khosla Kumar's spokesperson has squashed these rumours and said that the director has not approached any star for her film as yet. Her official statement read,

"There is no truth to this. Divya is currently on a much-needed break and has not signed any actor for her next film. Divya is presently in the development process for her next film and discussions on casting are still some time away"
